Galileo's paradox: number vs. integer

edit

I hit the wrong button when reverting your edit, so I thought I'd explain here. I reverted for two reasons. First, "square number" usually means "square of an integer", and "square integer" is rarely used, so we'd prefer the more common term here. Second, the paradox generalizes to domains other than integers, with "square" meaning simply that there is an x such that s=x*x for some binary operation on the domain. A look at square-free element may be instructive. Happy editing! Paradoctor (talk) 22:59, 19 September 2022 (UTC)Reply
