RTT edits

edit

Hi! Your interest in the RTT article is very appreciated! However, the edits you've made, with the intention of making section more NPOV, is by some of us considered to be POV in themselves. I have attempted to re-include some information you deleted as well as keeping your changes while changing both the old and new to more NPOV. It is a challanging balance to both keep information while retaining NPOV, and feedback would be appreciated! If you're planning on making large edits to the article, I (and we) would appreciate it if you first discussed your thougts and suggestions on the article's talk page so as to allow a discussion beforehand. This would avoid heated sentiments and revert conflicts. Thanks! Mikademus 08:03, 27 May 2006 (UTC)Reply

Lightsaber

Sorry for the confusion. I was fixing one bit while breaking another.

I'm sorry, too. (S)He got the vandalism in between the time I went to revert and when I saved the page. I did see the vandalism, but thought it would get removed when I reverted. Then he got more vandalism in and there were more reverts as I reverted again, and then he did some talk page vandalism while I pointed out his last vandalism, too...Ergbert 05:39, 30 July 2005 (UTC)Reply

This guy is really persistent. I would suggest you just let the page stay blanked for now. If you think it's serious enough to warrant a block, you could list it on admin intervention. - Orioneight 02:04, 17 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

I was going to slow down on the reverts in case he'd(?) get bored without immediate responses, but I got involved with something else and managed to forget about this in the past fifty minutes. :D I'm reverting again now...If he's still around and ready to blank the page I think I'll just leave it alone for a while longer. By the way, thanks for reverting the blankings of my talk page! Solver 15:52, 17 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Your Edit of Rogers' Rangers

edit

Ergbert:

Regarding your edit for "Rogers' Rangers." The proper name of this unit is "Rogers' Rangers." That is the historically accurate, correct English title. Please do not edit this article to change the placement of the apostrophe or add an extra "s." The name of the commander was Robert Rogers and not Robert Roger; hence, Rogers' Rangers.

Thanks! (message from User:Flask on 19 November 2005)

Exactly. The possessive form of Rogers is Rogers's. Rogers' is plural possessive for several people named Roger. Ergbert 21:17, 20 November 2005 (UTC)Reply

Comment on Battle Rifle Page

edit
Ergbert,

I was browsing through Wikipedia and came across your page. [1] I have nothing to complain about whith the content you placed on it, but have a sugestion. The term "Battle Rifle" also refers to a type of human weapon in the fictional Microsoft game Halo 2. I am very new to this Wikipedia talk page. I just recently got my account. If you don't take any offence and want to update your page, mabey you (or you could instruct me how to) put a link that would tell users about this side meaning.

        THanks for your time

ArbCom elections are now open!

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
