Flag icons

edit

I see that you have added flag icons to several articles. I may be mistaken but I think the manual of style recommends NOT using flag icons in infoboxes. You might seek a clarification at its talk page. Sbowers3 (talk) 02:05, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Yeah, head on over to WP:FLAG, and it'll give you a more in-depth explanation.  :) Jmlk17 22:12, 5 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

My list

edit

I deduced that the second largest city in Germany WAS in fact Hamburg, because on Wikipedia, it said that Frankfurt was the 5th largest city GlobetrotterUltima (talk) 00:10, 8 December 2007 (UTC). By the way, I used to be ThegreatglobetrotterReply

Hey, just to let you know, anything below the line "end" is not accurate, It still needs to be checked, and I'm still adding more info above it. It should take some time, but if you want to edit the list, you can, as long as you know what you are doing. Here's a link to it: User:Sseballos/Test. No name switch?

edit

I was just curious why you didn't rename your username, instead of creating a new account? S♦s♦e♦b♦a♦l♦l♦o♦s (Talk to Me) 21:58, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

I couldn't log in to my old account, and I did not provide my e-mail.GlobetrotterUltima (talk) 22:05, 12 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
That would explain it. S♦s♦e♦b♦a♦l♦l♦o♦s (Talk to Me) 02:11, 13 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Flags

edit

Hey, on my article, List of largest cities and second largest cities by country, can you add flags for all of the countries? You seem to do that well, while I don't. Do you think you could do this for me? S♦s♦e♦b♦a♦l♦l♦o♦s (Talk to Me) 23:13, 14 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks, dude. S♦s♦e♦b♦a♦l♦l♦o♦s (Talk to Me) 00:23, 16 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Merry Christmas

Merry Christmas, Erdkunde Meister!   Wishing you a very Merry Christmas!

Best regards from myself! -- S♦s♦e♦b♦a♦l♦l♦o♦s (Merry Christmas!)
Post this merry message on any other user talk page you can find.

Sorry I could not talk to you for a while. I was vacationing with my family in Florida. GlobetrotterUltima (talk) 13:19, 27 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Taiwan

edit

I changed your edits to Taiwan. I wanted to put back the links to Wiktionary someone had put in. I don't know if people will like your rearrangement. Everyone is so strange about names. Shenme (talk) 06:38, 21 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

Though you can upload media here, there is, however, another Wikimedia Foundation project called Wikimedia Commons, a central media repository for all free media. In the future, please consider creating an account and uploading your media there instead. That way, all of the other language Wikipedias can use them too, as well as our many sister projects. This will also allow our visitors to search for, view and use our media in one central location. Please note that non-free content, such as images claimed as fair use, cannot be uploaded to the Wikimedia Commons. Once you get to commons, click on the "Upload File" link on the left side bar. I hope this helps, SpencerT♦C 18:25, 25 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

When I tried to upload an image, it said I had to have a copyright license. I am not not sure what to do. When you upload images, what do you do? GlobetrotterUltima (talk) 21:22, 26 June 2008 (UTC)Reply
If the image is yours, you license it. See Wikipedia:Image_copyright_tags#For_image_creators. Btw, thanks for the barnstar. SpencerT♦C 23:25, 29 June 2008 (UTC)Reply

Commons

edit

If you want to edit an image, simply open it in full and save the image in your folders. Then perform the edit. Then, right below file history, and click "Upload a new version of this file" and you will just upload a new file over the current one. Also, when uploading, briefly describe the changes you made. I hope this answers your question. SpencerT♦Nominate! 19:38, 9 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

You would have to request deletion here from an admin like me, or on commons by a commons admin. There are also several other ways listed here. SpencerT♦Nominate! 01:42, 13 April 2009 (UTC)Reply

Table

edit

Sure, it's up to you. I can't say I can actively help out, and it would be best to start work on it in your own userspace, creating and working on it at User:GlobetrotterUltima/Table or something. SpencerT♦Nominate! 00:01, 30 May 2009 (UTC)Reply

Removing images on commons

edit

Try to find an administrator on commons. List is at Commons:Commons:Administrators. If it's here on Wikipedia, I can do it, but I am not a sysop on commons. I hope this helps, SpencerT♦Nominate! 03:17, 10 June 2009 (UTC)Reply

Canada metro areas

edit

I noticed that you added provincial flags to ranks 1-14 and 85-94 of the 100 records at List of the 100 largest metropolitan areas in Canada. Are there plans to do the same for the remaining 76 metro areas? Hwy43 (talk) 06:32, 18 December 2010 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open!

edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
