Summary of Characteristics of Target Article

edit

The target quality that we are aiming for in this class is at least a B level article but ideally we will be able to edit an article that will meet good article expectations. Both articles should be accessible and understood by a general audience, keeping in mind that Wikipedia is not only utilized by experts/scientists but by people from all educational backgrounds. Below is a brief summary of what each article should contain.

A Good Article should meet good article criteria including:

  • Being well written and verifiable, containing appropriate references and use of citations.
  • Needing minimal, if any, editing.
  • Containing substantial support but may not quite meet encyclopedic standards yet[1].

A B Article will meet the B article criteria including:

  • Being adequately written and referenced.
  • Good structure, although this article may benefit from the help of a senior editor.
  • Good content but not yet complete.
