A few pointers edit

So, just to begin — the thing that kept getting the article deleted was that it really needs reliable sources (links to other websites) to ensure that it is notable per our notability policy, WP:N. If you could add any websites, magazines, newspapers etc where it's appeared (and why) that'd be fantastic Alex.Muller 15:48, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Ok great. I will start adding news articles as references. How can I upload an image to the page? -eper1709 14 May 2008 11.54am
Ok, this can be more confusing — you need to be very careful that the image is either owned by you (and you're willing to release it into the public domain) or if it's a logo, it can be used under fair use here. Which is the image you want to use? And also, the article will benefit greatly from other websites (see WP:RS). So if you can find anything on Google news or other sources, that'd be great. Also, you can sign your message on talk pages by clicking the signature button on the editing toolbar (or see this) Alex.Muller 16:12, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
I am having trouble finding other websites or articles via google just because the terms 'solar' and 'one' are so common, but I added two sources that are from independent news organizations (although one appears on the solar 1 website). The images I want to use are a pic of the outside of the building and a pic of a class inside. I don't want to use a logo because I think it becomes public domain after being put on wikipedia. Thanks for the pointers.--Eper1709 (talk) 16:18, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
ok the problem I have with uploading images is: when i click on upload file, it says this is limited to synops and authenticated users. do i have to wait until i have this status?--Eper1709 (talk) 16:19, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
Those links, at first glance, look good. I'll read and reference them properly by this weekend if nobody gets to it first. The important question is whether you took (and therefore own) those pictures or not. And you can use a copy of the logo under fair use, which will let the copyright holder retain all rights to it. To be autoconfirmed your account has to be older than four days. Alex.Muller 16:44, 14 May 2008 (UTC)Reply
As I said before, you have to sort out the copyright for those images or they will just be deleted... ask if you need any help, Alex Muller 19:32, 21 May 2008 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Knock magazine edit

A tag has been placed on Knock magazine requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a company or corporation, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for companies and corporations.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you.
