Green corridor

I tried to add a page for the Green Corridor project, but I am new to Wikipedia. From the deletion long, it is indicated as a copyright violation. As the information was gathered from the Green Corridor's website, www.greencorridor.ca, I was unsure how to cite the entire page. It was my mistake to "save" the page, my ignorance led me to believe this was saving the page, but not publishing it.

If I can appropriately cite the website as a source, will I be able to resubmit the entry? Or, do the facilitator's of the project need to make the entry through their own account?

Unfortunately, you cannot copy and paste entire chunks of websites onto Wikipedia. You cannot get around this problem by citing it: citations are for small amounts of material copied for the purposes of quotation. If you want to create an article on this subject, you will have to paraphrase the material in your own words. In doing so, you should consult other sources other than one website. Also, take note of such guidelines as WP:WEB, WP:NOTE and WP:CITE. enochlau (talk) 16:25, 10 July 2007 (UTC)

It's only for lack of willing volunteers; if you'd be willing to do it, that'd be great. It's pretty simple to do - just look for news relating to Wikipedia (a Yahoo or Google News alert on "wikipedia" is a good way to start), pick the ones you think are relevant, and do a brief write-up. Restore deleted files

Howdy,

Last year I uploaded a picture I took of fish I caught:

Now I found it has been deleted. I'm pretty sure I DID specify licensing when I uploaded them but perhaps not or perhaps it got lost. Anyway if you could please restore it and mark it public domain or I will do so I would appreciate it. Also it's annoying that I didn't receive an email about this or I would have attended to it immediately.

Done. I appreciate that it's a little frustrating, but there's so much to clean up that it's impractical to warn everyone. But that's what the undelete function is for. Why did you delete that page? I could maybe understand how it was deleted because it was only one line, but it's late and im going to bed, and will write a lot more tommorrow. Can you please explain why you deleted this post? I have read all the Wikipedia rules and there is no doubt that this book/indiviual meets the criteria?

Comment - I realize that but the original deletion due to someone having their user profile monkeyed with (possibly a Chaminade student) - their was no apparent justification for the deletion based on Wikipedia guidelines. Can you review this please?

Sydney Law School Edits

Enoch,

You removed edits to Sydney Law School which had removed the reference to Sir Samuel Griffith and Sir Edmund Barton graduating from there. Neither did. Sir Samuel Griffith studied law in Brisbane (see his Wikipedia article). Sir Edmund Barton never studied law, graduating from Sydney University with a degree in classics).

Wikipedia editors said to lack maturity

Sam Vaknin is the author of Wikipedia - Can Teenagers Write An Encyclopedia?. There also is a Wikipedia:Articles_for_deletion/Sam_Vaknin. The deleted Sam Vaknin Wikipedia article and the Wikipedia - Can Teenagers Write An Encyclopedia article both have http://samvak.tripod.com in them. Sydney Law School

I am going to rever the deletions. Sir Samuel Griffith didn't study law in Queensland - he only received an Hon LLD (later). His university education was MA and BA (Hons) from Usyd. Just because he doesn't hold an LLB doesn't mean he didn't study law at Sydney: e.g. The Australian Dictionary of Biography says, concerning his education at Sydney: "He also studied law, taking general jurisprudence as an extra university course". He is listed as an alumni by the Sydney Law School site: http://www.law.usyd.edu.au/alumni/distinguished.shtml#judges

The same applies to Richard O'Connor, who was also MA, BA from Usyd, and Sir Edmund Barton, who was MA, BA (Hons) from USyd. There is no evidence that they studied law anywhere other than at Sydney. The only evidence which really points one way or other is the Law School's alumni list.

In fact, it is telling that the anon removed the three founding justices. All of them graduated from Sydney University at a time when the Law School was very young, and the normal course was probably to just a couple of courses in law as part of your BA/MA, and then go clerking. In fact, it wasn't until the time of Evatt and McTiernan - the 1930s, that we see HC judges bearing LL.B. after their names.

Deleted Page?

That doesn't make sense because there are hundreds of pages of less notable artists with pages. Why are they on wikipedia? Mystical Sun has recently charted on iTunes Music, had several million downloads on mp3.com, is regularly played on national radio. Has released music on several indie labels. What more is needed? Several criteria on the page are met? It doesn't seem that the rules are equally enforced. Please reconsider and let me create the page.

Would it be possible to plot this data (100% instead of 30%) on a much larger image, and then scale it down with an image editing software so that the denser areas appear brighter and the more sparse areas appear darker? Currently it's just a pixel of white for each galaxy, so if there are 30 galaxies in a 3x3 square, it will appear as bright as 9 galaxies in a 3x3 square. Kind of like the difference between Image:Neighborhood watch bw.png and Image:Neighborhood watch grayscale.jpg, in other words. — Omegatron 04:20, 8 August 2007 (UTC)

Read WP:V: "The threshold for inclusion in Wikipedia is verifiability, not truth." I don't care if it's online or not - that isn't the criterion. Requesting the text from a deleted page

I'm requesting the text from the page http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_Kids_Next_Door_Two-by-Four_Technology if possible, not to re-create the page but for the information it contained. I am attempting to create a video game mod based around Kids Next Door, and in the past I found this page extremely useful. If I could get a copy, I would dearly appreciate it. fring deletion review

Hi Enochlau,

I have tried to add an article about fring but the page was deleted because of advertising. I viewed the logs and saw that you where one of the admins who deleted it, I tried contacting Joe but he seems to have left wiki.

The wiki page for fring was deleted because of advertising, I would like to remake the article without advertising, I was not the user or users who made the first one but feel that they have abused the system and now its unfairly biasing fring.

I have put the article I made up on my user page so you can see it, please give me feedback and let me know how i can edit it so its not advertising and what i can do to get it back online. I am new to wiki so need your help.

Local paper
