- It is mentioned in PM's speech and I don't have to do extensive research to know that oil price had been increasing after 2003 Iraq invasion nor do I need to do much research about Malaysia recovering from Asian Financial crisis. Engkamalzack (talk) 02:48, 6 April 2008 (UTC)
- Regardless whether you know or you do not know, citation is required, per WP:OR. The way you cited it made it suspect. For instance, how do you know that the increase in fuel price is exclusively due to invasion of Iraq and not from increased demand for China and India as well as other rising economies? Only a proper citation could answer that. "Common knowledge" which you alluded to your response earlier is not acceptable. That is the mistake many newbies do. This is not Malay Wikipedia where the standard of citation is low and not rigorous, like what you did earlier. __earth (Talk) 06:02, 6 April 2008 (UTC)

- Malaysian Translators Association was deleted under criterion 7 (under Articles) of our criteria for speedy deletion because it appeared to be an article about an organization which didn't indicate why it was important or significant. Please see WP:ORG for details of what might show notability. If you think that these criteria are met, please explain which one and provide citations from reliable sources to back up your claim, and I will consider undeleting it.

- I beg to differ, this association is no different than Irish Translators' & Interpreters' Association. It is a real translators association and the only one in Malaysia. It is under the auspious of Dewan Bahasa dan Pustaka, a government body which is responsible for the advancement of Malay language, one of the fast growing language spoken by people in Malaysia, Indonesia, part of Thailand, Singapore, etc. Engkamalzack (talk) 14:43, 27 March 2010 (UTC)
