How can you create an article so people can know where and how to find someone? Emihle T (talk) 07:49, 7 July 2018 (UTC)Reply

Help me! edit

Please help me with... I want to create an article about someone. Emihle T (talk) 07:07, 27 December 2018 (UTC)Emihle tshanganaReply

Please understand that successfully creating an article is probably the hardest thing to do on Wikipedia. It takes much time and practice. New users who are most successful at it started much smaller by editing existing articles, to get a feel for how Wikipedia works and what is being looked for, before gradually moving up into article creation. New users who dive right in to article creation often end up disappointed and with hurt feelings as their work is mercilessly edited and even deleted by others. I don't want to see that happen to you, so I would strongly suggest you spend time editing existing articles in areas that interest you.

I also see above that you want to create an article "so people can know where and how to find someone". That is not the purpose of Wikipedia. Wikipedia is an encyclopedia that covers subjects shown with significant coverage in independent reliable sources that meet the relevant notability guidelines. This is not social media where everyone "gets a page".

If you still want to attempt to create an article, I would suggest a few things. First, you may want to use the new user tutorial(click those words to access) which will help you learn about Wikipedia. You should also read Your First Article to learn what is being looked for. Then, you can visit Articles for Creation to create and submit a draft for review by another editor before it is formally placed in the encyclopedia; by doing this, it will not be treated as harshly as if it were directly placed in the encyclopedia, allowing you to get feedback on it before that happens so you can fix any issues. 331dot (talk) 09:32, 27 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Tshangana edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Tshangana requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. ___CAPTAIN MEDUSAtalk 12:26, 20 January 2019 (UTC)Reply
