March 2012 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute constructively to the encyclopedia, your addition of one or more external links to the page Honey (magazine) has been reverted.
Your edit here to Honey (magazine) was reverted by an automated bot that attempts to remove links which are discouraged per our external links guideline. The external link(s) you added or changed (http://www.twitter.com/honeymag) is/are on my list of links to remove and probably shouldn't be included in Wikipedia. If the external link you inserted or changed was to a blog, forum, free web hosting service, fansite, or similar site (see 'Links to avoid', #11), then please check the information on the external site thoroughly. Note that such sites should probably not be linked to if they contain information that is in violation of the creator's copyright (see Linking to copyrighted works), or they are not written by a recognised, reliable source. Linking to sites that you are involved with is also strongly discouraged (see conflict of interest).
If you were trying to insert an external link that does comply with our policies and guidelines, then please accept my creator's apologies and feel free to undo the bot's revert. However, if the link does not comply with our policies and guidelines, but your edit included other, constructive, changes to the article, feel free to make those changes again without re-adding the link. Please read Wikipedia's external links guideline for more information, and consult my list of frequently-reverted sites. For more information about me, see my FAQ page. Thanks! --XLinkBot (talk) 02:25, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added to the page Honey (magazine) do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. Thank you.  -- WikHead (talk) 02:55, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Honey (magazine). Wikipedia is not a collection of links, nor should it be used for advertising or promotion. Inappropriate links include (but are not limited to) links to personal web sites, links to web sites with which you are affiliated, and links that attract visitors to a web site or promote a product. See the external links guideline and spam guideline for further explanations. Because Wikipedia uses the nofollow attribute value, its external links are disregarded by most search engines. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page rather than re-adding it.

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia, as you did to Honey (magazine) with this edit. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia. Thank you. This is your last warning. If you vandalize Wikipedia again, as you did at Honey (magazine), you will be blocked from editing without further notice.
Your edits have been automatically marked as vandalism and have been automatically reverted. The following is the log entry regarding this vandalism: Honey (magazine) was changed by Elsweetrufino (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.855515 on 2012-03-12T03:11:25+00:00 . Thank you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for adding spam links. Persistent spammers will have their websites blacklisted from Wikipedia and potentially penalized by search engines. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first. Hi Elsweetrufino. I received your email; as I said in my reply, I would like to conduct the conversation regarding your potential unblocking here so that other editors and administrators can see what is discussed. I am willing to unblock you, but first I need to ask a few questions:
  • Do you understand that you cannot use Wikipedia to promote your business or a company that you work for?
  • Do you understand that even though the page is about Honey magazine, that the magazine and its owners have no special control over the page (i.e., all decisions about what goes into the article are made by the consensus of the community, per our policy and guidelines)? That is, do you understand that this page does not belong to Honey?
  • While we don't forbid people with a conflict of interest from editing Wikipedia, we do strongly recommend that you not edit pages which you have a conflict of interest on. Details can be found at WP:COI. Given your previous edits, I'd like you to agree, for the time being, to only edit the article's talk page (Talk: Honey (magazine)) until such time as we can be sure that you understand how editing on Wikipedia works.

There are other issues we have to sort out regarding the article itself (specifically, whether or not the current incarnation of Honey is in any way related to the previous one described in the current article), but those can wait until we figure out if editing here is right for you. If you agree to the above terms, I will happily unblock you--just post a message below saying so. Then I'd be glad to help discuss how to make changes in ways that follow our policies.

If you do not wish to agree to those terms, you can request an unblock by following the instructions in the above block message, and then an uninvolved administrator will review the block. Qwyrxian (talk) 07:22, 12 March 2012 (UTC)Reply
