Hello. Some of your recent genre changes, such as the one you made to Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes (album), have conflicted with our neutral point of view and verifiability policies. While we invite all users to contribute constructively to Wikipedia, we urge all editors to provide reliable sources for edits made. When others disagree, we recommend you seek consensus for certain edits by discussing the matter on the article's talk page. Thank you. SummerPhDv2.0 23:42, 1 July 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello, good afternoon v2.0. Thank you so much for writing to me. I was wondering how the changes I made were reverted back to the old info. I am new to this Wikipedia stuff, and am still learning, and I had no idea a musical genre change would be so controversial. I read a lot of online reference articles, and most indicated that George Winston was misrepresented as a new age artist, and that he created a genre for his music called folk piano. As a matter of fact, in his interviews he only mentions that his music is folk. I can change it again and add a reliable reference. Additionally, Sadako and the Thousand Paper Cranes is a Children record, again I can reference that. The record label is actually Dancing Cat, Windham Hill, not only Windham Hill.

File permission problem with File:Doug "Danger" Senecal.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Doug "Danger" Senecal.jpg, which you've attributed to Marilyn Stemp. I noticed that while you provided a valid copyright licensing tag, there is no proof that the creator of the file has agreed to release it under the given license.

If you are the copyright holder for this media entirely yourself but have previously published it elsewhere (especially online), please either

  • make a note permitting reuse under the CC-BY-SA or another acceptable free license (see this list) at the site of the original publication; or
  • Send an email from an address associated with the original publication to permissions-en@wikimedia.org, stating your ownership of the material and your intention to publish it under a free license. You can find a sample permission letter here. If you take this step, add {{OTRS pending}} to the file description page to prevent premature deletion.

If you did not create it entirely yourself, please ask the person who created the file to take one of the two steps listed above, or if the owner of the file has already given their permission to you via email, please forward that email to permissions-en@wikimedia.org.

If you believe the media meets the criteria at Wikipedia:Non-free content, use a tag such as {{non-free fair use}} or one of the other tags listed at Wikipedia:File copyright tags#Fair use, and add a rationale justifying the file's use on the article or articles where it is included. See Wikipedia:File copyright tags for the full list of copyright tags that you can use.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have provided evidence that their copyright owners have agreed to license their works under the tags you supplied, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log. Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. — Diannaa (talk) 14:25, 21 August 2016 (UTC)Reply

Hello! Thank you for your recent contributions to Doug "Danger" Senecal. I did have one note for you. I am working on a maintenance project to clean up Category:Pages using infoboxes with thumbnail images. In the future, please do not use thumbnails when adding images to an infobox (see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE). What does this mean? Well in the infobox, when you specify the image you wish to use, instead of doing it like this:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

Instead just supply the name of the image. So in this case you can simply do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. The specific parameters for the image and caption may be different for the infobox you are using! Please consult the Template page for the infobox being used to see better documentation. Thanks!! Thank you. Will take note for next time.EllenZoe (talk) 19:58, 1 September 2016 (UTC)Reply

Please do not use thumbnails inside of infoboxes as you did to Le Boeuf Brothers. Note that this is your second warning regarding this issue. Continuing to add thumbnails will be seen as disruptive editing. For more information please see WP:INFOBOXIMAGE. When adding an image, instead of doing:

|image=[[File:SomeImage.jpg|thumb|Some image caption]]

You can simply supply the name of the image. So in this case just do:

|image=SomeImage.jpg.

There will then be a separate parameter for the image caption such as |caption=Some image caption. Please note that this is a generic form message I am leaving on your page because you recently added a thumbnail to an infobox. Zackmann08 (Talk to me/What I been doing) 19:42, 20 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Yes, this is my second warning. However, I have a problem. If I do as you indicate and not use a thumbnail, the photo comes out huge, and when I put the photo in Commons, it offers a thumbnail to use. Why is this a problem EllenZoe (talk) 21:53, 23 October 2016 (UTC)Reply

Cut-paste of Remy Le Boeuf

edit

Hi, and thank you for your contributions to Wikipedia. It appears that you tried to give a page a different title by copying its content and pasting either the same content, or an edited version of it, into another page with a different name. This is known as a "cut-and-paste move", and it is undesirable because it splits the page history, which is legally required for attribution. Instead, the software used by Wikipedia has a feature that allows pages to be moved to a new title together with their edit history.

In most cases, once your account is four days old and has ten edits, you should be able to move an article yourself using the "Move" tab at the top of the page (the tab may be hidden in a dropdown menu for you). This both preserves the page history intact and automatically creates a redirect from the old title to the new. If you cannot perform a particular page move yourself this way (e.g. because a page already exists at the target title), please follow the instructions at requested moves to have it moved by someone else. Also, if there are any other pages that you moved by copying and pasting, even if it was a long time ago, please list them at Wikipedia:Requests for history merge. Thank you. — Andy W. (talk) 19:49, 14 November 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Hot Octopuss

Hello EllenZoe,

I wanted to let you know that I just tagged Hot Octopuss for deletion, because it seems to be promotional, rather than an encyclopedia article.

If you feel that the article shouldn't be deleted and want more time to work on it, you can contest this deletion, but please don't remove the speedy deletion tag from the top.

You can leave a note on my talk page if you have questions.

Thanks for uploading File:Hot Octopuss.jpg. The image description page currently specifies that the image is non-free and may only be used on Wikipedia under a claim of fair use. However, the image is currently not used in any articles on Wikipedia. If the image was previously in an article, please go to the article and see why it was removed. You may add it back if you think that that will be useful. Replaceable fair use File:Moon Taxi Live Performance.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Moon Taxi Live Performance.jpg. I noticed that this file is being used under a claim of fair use. However, I think that the way it is being used fails the first non-free content criterion. This criterion states that files used under claims of fair use may have no free equivalent; in other words, if the file could be adequately covered by a freely-licensed file or by text alone, then it may not be used on Wikipedia. If you believe this file is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and add the text {{Di-replaceable fair use disputed|<your reason>}} below the original replaceable fair use template, replacing <your reason> with a short explanation of why the file is not replaceable.
  2. On the file discussion page, write a full explanation of why you believe the file is not replaceable.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Whpq (talk) 16:42, 7 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Whpq I think it needs to be deleted and then I'll reload with non-free usage and the permission ticket number. Thanks for the heads up.

Hi, I'm RonBot, a script that checks new non-free file uploads. I have found that the subject image that you recently uploaded was more than 5% in excess of the Non-free content guideline size of 100,000 pixels. I have tagged the image for a standard reduction, which (for jpg/gif/png/svg files) normally happens within a day. Please check the reduced image, and make sure that the image is not excessively corrupted. Other files will be added to Category:Wikipedia non-free file size reduction requests for manual processing. There is a full seven-day period before the original oversized image will be hidden; during that time you might want to consider editing the original image yourself (perhaps an initial crop to allow a smaller reduction or none at all). A formula for calculation the desired size can be found at WP:Image resolution, along with instructions on how to tag the image in the rare cases that it requires an oversized image (typically about 0.2% of non-free uploads are tagged as necessarily oversized). Please contact the bot owner if you have any questions, or you can ask them at Wikipedia talk:Non-free content. RonBot (talk) 17:18, 12 June 2018 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:The Revivalists Group Photo.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:The Revivalists Group Photo.jpg.

Thank you. Whpq (talk) 17:54, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

WHile I appreciate your comments Whpq, I feel that the photo is useable as is mostly because the work has been publicist and publicly displayed outside Wikipedia by (or with permission from) the copyright holder, or a derivative of such a work created by a Wikipedia editor. While another photo would suffice in the spot, this is the most relevant and clear and lo-res I was given by the owner of the copyright. EllenZoe (talk) 18:31, 16 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. An automated process has detected that when you recently edited The Revivalists, you added links pointing to the disambiguation pages Conan and Sleigh Bells (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are usually incorrect, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of unrelated topics with similar titles. (Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.)

RonBot (talk) 17:16, 18 October 2018 (UTC)Reply

Deletion pending for File:Lathan Mckay.jpg

edit

Hello, EllenZoe. Some time ago, a file you uploaded — File:Lathan Mckay.jpg — was tagged with {{OTRS received}}, indicating that a statement of permission had been received by permissions-en wikimedia.org, but that this email was insufficient in some way

This could be due to any of several issues:

  1. The OTRS agent might have asked for further information to validate the ticket, but no follow-up reply was received (this is the most common reason).
  2. The license submitted might not have provided an acceptable free content license. (Statements of permission that allow only usage on Wikipedia or only non-commercial usage are NOT sufficient.)
  3. The person who submitted the statement of permission might not be the copyright holder or might not have been able to demonstrate to the satisfaction of the OTRS agent that they own the copyright.

Due to privacy reasons, we cannot comment on Wikipedia with the exact reason that the ticket could not be processed.

  • If YOU submitted the ticket to the permissions address, please search your email for a reply with the ticket ID - a reply was sent some time ago requesting more information or further actions needed to confirm permission. Please reply to that message.
  • If the copyright holder (not you) submitted the ticket, then that person received a response (which may have been some time ago). Please ask them to follow up.

If another message is sent to permissions-en@wikimedia.org and let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

  • If you have already sent this message, it is possible that there was a problem receiving it. Please re-send it to permissions-en wikimedia.org that resolves the problem, please let us know at the OTRS noticeboard that you have done so.

If we don't hear from you within one week, the file will be deleted. If we can help you, please feel free to ask at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. B (talk) 21:43, 29 December 2018 (UTC)Reply

Unspecified source/license for File:Rita Wilson 2018.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Rita Wilson 2018.jpg. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time after the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: Once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 18:46, 21 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Happy Socks

edit

Thank you for your hard work, but please try to be a little more circumspect when making major expansions to artciles as you did with Happy Socks. If you compare your expanded version to the version after I have "tweaked" it, you will see that I have had to remove a certain amount of promotional language and name-dropping. This is the sort of editing we typically see from those with a conflict of interest, and the article is still too effusive. I am not suggesting a COI here, but it is all too easy to slip into parroting the marketing speak so prevalent today, even in reliable sources. And do read WP:OVERLINK too. Edwardx (talk) 13:21, 19 April 2019 (UTC)Reply

Edwardx Thank you for your kind explanation. I have done quite a few Wikipedia updates and additions, but I feel everyday I'm still learning the ropes. May I ask you why you deleted the names of the artists who have created socks styles for Happy Socks? They are very popular celebrities and thought that was fascinating. File permission problem with File:Group shot of Hippo Campus band.jpg

edit

Thanks for uploading File:Group shot of Hippo Campus band.jpg.

Files lacking evidence of permission may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described in section F11 of the criteria for speedy deletion. You may wish to read Wikipedia's image use policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you.

This bot DID NOT nominate any file(s) for deletion; please refer to the page history of each individual file for details. Thanks, FastilyBot (talk) 01:00, 22 May 2019 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of Like a villain

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Like a villain, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which pages can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It is an article with no content whatsoever, or whose contents consist only of external links, a "See also" section, book references, category tags, template tags, interwiki links, a rephrasing of the title, or an attempt to contact the subject of the article. (See section A3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Wikipedia has standards for the minimum necessary information to be included in short articles; you can see these at Wikipedia:Stub. Also please note that articles must be on notable subjects and should provide references to reliable sources that verify their content.
  • It appears to be about a person, organization (band, club, company, etc.), individual animal, or web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. (See section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) Such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. User:Meloncoco I saw today that you did some work on this page that I created via its location in a Draft file. Currently, I am blocked at the suggestion of MER-C, and waiting for my appeal to be reviewed by an administrator. Today User:DragonflySixtyseven an administrator reviewed the page, but I am unclear what he or she thought. I have no relationship with the creators of the cereal, other than asking them for their logo for the page, which has been removed from the draft page. I think your additions of sources were very helpful and flattened the tone so it doesn't sound like an advertisement. How do I get the article moved from Draft back on Wikipedia? Is that something you can do or maybe User:DragonflySixtyseven? As I said, I am blocked, and distressed because I love this Wikipedia stuff and want to keep doing it, but cannot. August 2020

Hello EllenZoe. The nature of your edits gives the impression you have an undisclosed financial stake in promoting a topic, but you have not complied with Wikipedia's mandatory paid editing disclosure requirements. Paid advocacy is a category of conflict of interest (COI) editing that involves being compensated by a person, group, company or organization to use Wikipedia to promote their interests. Undisclosed paid advocacy is prohibited by our policies on neutral point of view and what Wikipedia is not, and is an especially serious type of COI; the Wikimedia Foundation regards it as a "black hat" practice akin to black-hat SEO.

Paid advocates are very strongly discouraged from direct article editing, and should instead propose changes on the talk page of the article in question if an article exists. If the article does not exist, paid advocates are extremely strongly discouraged from attempting to write an article at all. At best, any proposed article creation should be submitted through the articles for creation process, rather than directly.

Regardless, if you are receiving or expect to receive compensation for your edits, broadly construed, you are required by the Wikimedia Terms of Use to disclose your employer, client and affiliation. You can post such a mandatory disclosure to your user page at User:EllenZoe. The template {{Paid}} can be used for this purpose – e.g. in the form: {{paid|user=EllenZoe|employer=InsertName|client=InsertName}}. If I am mistaken – you are not being directly or indirectly compensated for your edits – please state that in response to this message. Otherwise, please provide the required disclosure. In either case, do not edit further until you answer this message. GSS💬 08:39, 2 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing for advertising or promotion. From your contributions, this seems to be your only purpose.

Request reason:

I have not ever been a hired editor by any of the subjects I have written about or edited and certainly not received money. I think the problem may be the fact that I was a publicist in entertainment public relations for nearly 30 years, so perhaps my text tone may sometimes sound promotional out of habit, and perhaps the references are not the best. On occasion, I do contact a subject's publicity firm, or management company for a photo. I am no longer in the entertainment industry, and have been living in Costa Rica as a travel agent for 20 years. I have found a number of my articles in Draft file. My most recent non-entertainment article was Three Wishes (food) and to be honest all the articles I found on Three Wishes cereal did sound promotional but I figured that was how to do a product, a product I use and love personally. There are others in the Draft file, but I am unclear as to why or how to get them out. Please unblock me from editing so I can continue doing what I love. From now on, I will put my articles through AFC if that helps. EllenZoe (talk) 15:32, 2 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Decline reason:

Procedural decline only. This unblock request has been open for more than two weeks but has not proven sufficient for any reviewing administrator to take action. Request reason:

Good afternoon administrators. It has been 3 weeks since I put in my plea appeal to remove my block. I am unhappy that my errors with a few pages caused me to be unable to continue working on Wikipedia. As I stated, I had a career in public relations for 30 years and my writing style in Wikipedia occasionally was in a promotional tone with sources that reflected that. I am well aware of what I did and if I can get unblocked will be extra careful to neutralize my tone, and avoid any writing that seems advertising-like. Can someone help me with this situation? Thank you so much. EllenZoe (talk) 21:26, 27 August 2020 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

I am writing again to be unblocked. I received a Procedural decline to my first request from @NinjaRobotPirate:. I have come to understand that my writing style in the last few pages was promotional and advertorial. I believe I can adjust my style to be in line with Wikipedia and would be happily willing to go back to those pages moved to the Draft file and rewrite them. I have contributed many many pages to Wikipedia in line with the philosophy of free information via writing and editing. I, in no way, want to violate the policies of Wikipedia and would not take money if offered. I will also find alternative ways to get information rather than contacting the subject or public relations firm of the subject. I understand this is why I was blocked and did not mean to cause problems. EllenZoe (talk) 2:17 pm, 14 September 2020, Monday (9 days ago) (UTC−5)

Could you identify what types of articles you would be interested in editing if you were to be unblocked? signed, Rosguill talk 19:48, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Good afternoon @Rosguill:. Thank you for getting in touch about this block. I have interest in creating pages in the arts - from television, music and film - in personnel and the art itself. I am a bit of a pop culture junkie. Also, I like to write about philanthropic organizations like my page Kids Saving the Rainforest, an animal rescue and environmental group. I realize that most of what I've done is create pages, or update entertainment-related pages. In order to become more useful to the Wikipedia community, I will do more random editing including those on AFC, and elsewhere. I really want to be of service to Wikipedia. EllenZoe (talk) 20:58, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Unfortunately, your stated fields of interest coincide with topics that are frequently targets of promotional editing. Would you be willing to agree to not edit any articles about living people, media released in the last ten years, or currently active organizations bands and TV shows for the foreseeable future? signed, Rosguill talk 21:32, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Wow, I guess if that is required of me I would acquiesce @Rosguill:. The things you are asking me not to do are the most fun, and things I know about the most. I will do as you ask. One thing, can I do the arts topics if I put them through AFC to show I am not affiliated? I am willing to do what I have to do to get back into this with Wikipedia, so if the answer is the avoidance of what you are asking, then of course I'd do it.EllenZoe (talk) 23:38, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
MER-C, any thoughts on potential unblocking conditions as the blocking admin? signed, Rosguill talk 23:53, 22 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Rosguill: Please note that this user was hired to create Dave Kaplan (music executive) through a freelancing website and the job is still in process. Let me know if you want evidence or ask MER-C for the same. Thank you. GSS💬 03:57, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@GSS:I am not sure what you are talking about. I, too, would like to see this "evidence". As to why I chose the subject, I knew of the company through my years in music public relations and I am a surfer here in my country, and so is the subject, which is another way I know of him. I am not now working on that page anymore since the block. It was moved to a Draft file. Perhaps someone else is working on it? If this is the source of my block then I am being unfairly accused.EllenZoe (talk) 04:35, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Can you please disclose where did you get this image from and why you hired another freelancer to review the page which is a violation of WP:SOCK? GSS💬 04:46, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@GSS: Wow, this is getting crazy. I contacted Surfdog Records and asked for the photo of Dave Kaplan to use on the page. I have NO IDEA what you are talking about my hiring another freelancer to work on the page. Freelance writer? My real name is Ellen Zoe Golden, so you can check that I don't even know what website you are referring to. I do know some other editors but have NEVER hired anyone to work on this page. Do you think maybe you have me mixed up with someone else? I suspect you think I am an employee of Surfdog. I am a travel agent in Costa Rica for a company down here. EllenZoe (talk) 05:19, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@Rosguill: I am completely flabbergasted that you can declind me on Wikipedia based on accusations that have no basis in truth. If I were paid to do something, I would use AFC and indicate a COI. How is it possible that someone here can make accusations without any evidence or proof? It's feels I am being punished for something I didn't do. The reason I gave my real name was for you to google me and see that I am an honest, reputable person. I am super bummed out right now. EllenZoe (talk) 16:00, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I'm reluctant to unblock because there are additional red flags. If you do unblock, then the only acceptable condition would be a prohibition on editing about any attention seeking entity - no BLPs, no companies, products, bands, non-profits, etc unless defunct. There is no surefire way to verify that EllenZoe is telling the truth without violating the harassment policy, and all spammers are liars (some more convincing than others). MER-C 16:36, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Having received an email from GSS with the details of this case, I agree that the chances that this editor wasn't engaging in UPE are extremely slim. That having been said, if they do agree to the above conditions to not edit any content that could conceivably be commissioned, there's little additional harm that they could do. signed, Rosguill talk 16:50, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
@MER-C: @Rosguill: I would agree to those terms. I would need to know if that is a permanent condition or a probationary requirement. Why does GSS have evidence that I cannot see or refute? I don't know what he could possibly have that has raised the red flag on me. I do feel I am being harrassed. I have stated from the beginning that I retired from the entertainment industry over 10 years ago, though know how to reach out to get photos and bios on subjects. I was a publicist, thus writing in a promotional style. I am totally willing to revamp that style. I NEVER thought that entering into the Wikipedia editing process would result in a disparaging of my character and a question of my honesty. EllenZoe (talk) 17:38, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
We don't share the evidence because that would make it easier for people who professionally run sockfarms to abuse the website to learn how to cover their tracks. There really isn't anything for you to rebut either, other than to say "I didn't do it", which you already did. Your pattern of editing is highly similar to what we would expect from a paid editor, so a disavowal isn't terribly convincing. Because of this, the conditions of the conditional unblock have to be indefinite; you may be able to appeal at some point in the future, but only after demonstrating significant positive contributions within the parameters of the conditional unblock. signed, Rosguill talk 17:56, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Understood @Rosguill:. I cannot defend myself and my integrity further. What a system. Okay, I'll agree to the terms you have laid out.EllenZoe (talk) 18:55, 23 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I've gone ahead and removed the block under the aforementioned conditions. You can appeal the block at some point down the road either directly to me on my talk page or at the administrator's noticeboard. Appeals will be evaluated both on the basis of the amount of time elapsed and the quality of your contributions. signed, Rosguill talk 16:01, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
Thank you @Rosguill:. I really appreciate getting a second chance. I hope to prove myself and my work worthy. EllenZoe (talk) 19:33, 24 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

The Woodland Strykers moved to draftspace

edit

An article you recently created, The Woodland Strykers, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page. ~ Amkgp 💬 20:20, 3 October 2020 (UTC)Reply

@Diannaa: I thought the draft file was where I could work on my text. That is why I copied the information to save there while I looked around for more sources. It was not placed there with the intention of using it, but to use it as a reference when I wrote more on the page. I think I will take all the text and move to my sandbox, so I can work on the text and reference it without violating policy. I NEVER intended to publish that information as it was put in the draft. Broadening my editing and writing

@Rosguill: It is coming up on 6 months since my priviledges were reinstated with the condition that I would focus on deceased or defunct subjects. I have abided by those conditions, creating a couple of pages, and thoroughly editing others. It's been fun, but a bit difficult to find these kind of topics that were not already created. I was hoping that I could now broaden my scope and work on more subjects. Please adviseEllenZoe (talk) 21:19, 28 February 2021 (UTC)Reply

EllenZoe, you've done some decent work, such as your edits at Peggy Lee and Actors' Colony, but I'm concerned that last week you were working on Draft:The Wiseman Group, which appears to be a violation of your unblock conditions. signed, Rosguill talk 16:09, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
@Rosguill: I received a message on my talk page about The Wiseman Group draft nd I thought I was indicating that I needed to work on the page. So I took out a bunch of unsubstantiated stuff that I had found on the firm's website and resubmitted for approval. I thought since I was contacted about it by a Wikipedia editor that I was asked to fix it. My mistake. Also, did you see my Woodlands Strykers page too and Shotgun Messiah who broke up years ago?EllenZoe (talk) 16:51, 1 March 2021 (UTC)Reply
It's an understandable action so I'm not going to enforce the violation with a further block, but it is a violation of the terms of your unblock.
