Your article about The Elevator

edit

Hi, I've been advising Kristy Roschke on her Wikipedia assignment, and she pointed out your excellent submission for The Elevator and asked me to provide some feedback. This article appears to contain some very good research, and I'd say it's ready for publication on Wikipedia. There are a few minor issues that should be taken care of, and I'd be happy to do so; most significant is, it needs to start off with a sentence or two that place it in context for a global audience. It should state that it was a newspaper based in San Francisco, California, USA. Also, it would be best to include a link to Philip Alexander Bell since we already have a bio for him (and also, to add a link from his bio to yours).

But there's one consideration to deal with first: you appear to have inadvertently moved the article into the "User" namespace, rather than the main/article namespace. This is a pretty easy mistake to make. The title you chose, User:The Elevator (Newspaper), is for the page that would exist if there were a Wikipedia user who chose the name "The Elevator (Newspaper)" -- it's not listed as a Wikipedia article.

I'm happy to take care of any or all of these issues, but I wanted to run them by you first, in case you prefer to give them a shot yourself. I've also added a link to our project page for Black-owned newspapers: Wikipedia:WikiProject_Newspapers/Black_owned_newspapers#Redlinks_from_African_American_press_template -Pete Forsyth (talk) 23:21, 14 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Hi Peteforsyth, I do not mind if you make the changes suggested. Thank you for reviewing the article.
