December 2012 edit

Hello, I'm Graham87. I noticed that you recently removed some content from Gloucester, Massachusetts without explaining why. In the future, it would be helpful to others if you described your changes to Wikipedia with an edit summary. If this was a mistake, don't worry, I restored the removed content. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page. Thanks! Graham87 09:53, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

James Swan (financier) edit

Hello, I've reverted your edits to this article because you removed text that should have been in the lead section, oversimplified some text, and added some info about Swan's dealings with France and his bibliography into the wrong section (there are headings at "France, 1787–1830" and " Writings by Swan". You appear to have tried to add some references as well, judging by the [1] and [2] markup; which refs were you trying to add? I can help you better integrate the changes you want to make to the article. Graham87 10:25, 24 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

Re: Gloucester edit

Hi Elizabeth, I undid your changes because I wasn't sure why you made them. Among the people you removed was Marc Randazza; there was a reference next to his entry, and unexplained removal of referenced information is not a good idea. It'd be better to explain yourself in the edit summary or on the article's talk page if you want to remove text. I've removed the Whoopi Goldberg entry for you.
