If it is only for musicals, than why does Little White Lie (a web series) have its cast listed in the template? You can have one or the other but you can't have both. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BoogerD (talkcontribs) 04:25, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Okay, I didn't really explain my undo well at all. That's fine. I'm happy to do so here now:
LWL, along with all the musicals have set characters which can be both named and identified. The cast list has been designed to list the cast, and what characters they play. This isn't true with the sketch shows - there are no set characters. You yourself in making your addition just list them as 'Various characters' for the most part, with the small exception of the 3 1N2L3E boyband members. I don't feel that such listings are solid enough for the shows to be added to the the table.
I think the cast lists for these may be better of with the sketch show's listings above on the page. I am also happy for the heading of the section renamed (to 'cast and characters' perhaps?) if you feel it is too ambiguous.
What do you think? Eladkse (talk) 09:30, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

I just want to make sure that Pat Rourke and Daniel Strauss get proper recognition as members of Team Starkid. Also there were a number of crew members that put in work to be a member of the team as well, they too deserve recognition. I just want to see all involved get proper recognition for their work. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BoogerD (talkcontribs) 15:30, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

Okay, yeah. That's slightly a different issue. I can certainly agree with trying to include these two - hence why I suggested we could put the lists underneath the respective sketch listings.
However, at the same time, making sure people get the recognition they deserve isn't what Wikipedia is about. We have cast credits and principle crew credits because they are, for lack of a better term, more important. That isn't to say other positions aren't important, but Wikipedia isn't supposed to be a resource of crew lists - we have sites like IMDB for that. Hence the word 'principle' for the crew list (though why lighting, costuming and scenery is there is debatable). We certainly wouldn't, for example, list the best boy (not that there is one in any StarKid show).
I dunno - I'm not really explaining myself too well am I? Do you understand what I mean? Eladkse (talk)

I most certainly get what you mean. I wasn't implying that we should go back and all of the different crew members for all of their past shows. I was trying say that those "principal crew members" from the sketch shows should be properly credited alongside those in the web series and musicals. And I'm glad that you agree that Pat and Daniel need to have some recognition as actual members of the company. — Preceding unsigned comment added by BoogerD (talkcontribs) 23:16, 24 October 2013 (UTC)

So any thoughts???? --BoogerD (talk) 01:26, 29 October 2013 (UTC)
Well, taking another look at the article, I definitely thing the cast of the sketch shows should be listed in prose underneath their respective listings here. The same was done for the concert tours underneath, and it's an easy way of doing it without listing 'various characters' everywhere. Do you have any major objections to this? (I've already renamed the cast table as 'Cast and characters' to be a little more specific) Eladkse (talk)
Sooo...I guess the conversation is over? I just want the cast and crew of the two shows to be recognized. BoogerD (talk) 01:33, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
This conversation was (as far as I was aware) still going. I was awaiting reply from you. I've given my view on what I believe is the best course of action. If you have a better idea that doesn't fill the 'Cast and characters' table with generic entries, then please share. (Again, I must point out however that the point of the article isn't to get people 'recognized'.) Eladkse (talk) 09:00, 8 November 2013 (UTC)
