COI and Very Long Warning

Hello! Thank you for proposing changes to my first wikipedia page. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/David_A._Hirsch You put in a COI and Very Long warning. To solve these problems what can I do? I was thinking of making another wikipedia page for Hirsch's Media appearances to condense the page so it is shorter. However, I do not know what I can do for the COI warning. I was provided no incentive for this page and created the page because David Hirsch is a respected member of the community with large achievements. Please help me troubleshoot this! Semi-glitch on your userpage

I'm not one to ask for help on these sort if things but one user seems like they follow my edits and just now reverted me AGAIN when this IP who originally put in the edits was revered by clue bot. When they put them back in I removed them again het this user states I didn't give a detailed edit summary that explained my edits or that I blanked the page. Could you help? It's getting on my nerves and on my TP it's in the section August 2017. I can't say anything to this user because they just remove my discussion on their talk page or don't reply to me on mine. I'm generally a nice person but this happens over and over again. And one time an IP edited a users TP so I removed it this user just put it back in and warned ME. ♠Dinah♠ 🎤 18:14, 15 August 2017 (UTC)

• @Lododo: Hey! First, for your own benefit, you CAN remove Proposed deletions, even from pages you created. It is true that you CANNOT do so if it is a speedy deletion or a deletion discussion, but you can in this situation. Second, thanks for checking in with me! It shows that you want to make a good article. So while I always (95% of the time) assume good faith, now I can be confident in good faith.

But, let's see. I removed PROD, so don't worry about deletion. It's hard for me to conceptualize how the tone appears unencyclopedic. It's really just as though it is manual on leadership or a presentation at a conference, rather than an article in an encyclopedia. Instead of advocating or supporting the information, just attempt to just state it, objectively. Honestly, I also think it would be an improvement to delete the lists of themes and just summarize them in text.

Example: Instead of Creative leadership is a philosophy and style of leadership that involves leading a group to a novel and innovative outcome. Creative leaders display behaviors that may contradict traditional management styles. [1] Creative leadership rejects the premise of creativity as the act of a lone genius,[2] and is instead based on the premise that innovation emerges from a group of individuals, particularly in conditions that promote creativity. In addition to relying on creative contributions from individuals, creative leaders provide supportive contributions: psychological, material, and/or social supports that trigger, enable, and sustain creative thinking in others.[3]

The tone should be closer to

Creative leadership is a style of leadership based upon the concept of working cooperatively to develop innovative ideas. Those who employ creative leadership tend to do so by creating conditions which promote creativity, often using their own contributions as an example.

• @El cid, el campeador: Thank you for your reply! That's helpful feedback, I think I'll be able to make those changes to the tone. I'll go through in the next couple of days and work on the phrasing for a more encyclopedic style. I'll also change the way those themes are presented as well; I had looked at other leadership pages and saw lists like that so thought they would strengthen the article but sounds like they had the opposite effect. If you have some time for it, would it be okay if I send you a note when I've made the changes and you can have another look with your critical eye and let me know if anything else needs improvement? @Bhattacharya57 and Nayanhalder57: Hello! My concerns are: the articles are very short; they do not provide reliable references; and they may not be independently notable. My recommendation is to add the content from these articles into the article on the city they are located in. That is likely the best place to put information on these places - and even better, it will be in a central location (the city's article) where people can see everything at once, and learn more about the city, etc. Having separate articles for minor places in the city just makes it less likely readers will find out about the city. ‡ Єl Cid of ᐺalencia ^ᐐT₳LKᐬ 17:34, 18 August 2017 (UTC)
