Hi McGeddon,

Im a little confused and don't understand why it is promotional? please explain? I am simply just trying to list awards we here at sunset sessions have given out to various artists and music promo people.

Adding multiple links to your company can be seen as promotional, particularly when they're added with no appreciation of context. You suggested with one edit that an 110-year-old film company had won only one notable award in its lifetime - yours. You made a similar edit to an article about an artist whose album won seven Grammys, choosing to make a new section called "Awards" with one award in it - yours - rather than presenting it in context.

By all means write about the awards on the Sunset Sessions page itself, but Wikipedia should only be mentioning Sunset Sessions awards in other articles if a reliable source has written about the recipient receiving that award. --McGeddon (talk) 17:10, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

WP:PLAINANDSIMPLECOI should give you a good overview. As I read it, the answer is basically just "don't edit the pages themselves, but edit the talk page to suggest that other editors should consider mentioning your award". And to save you some time, you should only do this for pages where a person's Sunset Sessions award has been specifically mentioned in a reliable press source, which is the yardstick Wikipedia uses when deciding what to write about and what not to write about. --McGeddon (talk) 17:28, 25 June 2013 (UTC)

Writing about Sunset Sessions with every edit
