August 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Although everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, one or more of the external links you added do not comply with our guidelines for external links and have been removed. Wikipedia is not a collection of links; nor should it be used as a platform for advertising or promotion, and doing so is contrary to the goals of this project. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, external links do not alter search engine rankings. If you feel the link should be added to the article, please discuss it on the article's talk page before reinserting it. Please take a look at the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. MrOllie (talk) 00:00, 13 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please stop adding inappropriate external links to Wikipedia. It is considered spamming and Wikipedia is not a vehicle for advertising or promotion. Because Wikipedia uses nofollow tags, additions of links to Wikipedia will not alter search engine rankings. If you continue spamming, you may be blocked from editing Wikipedia.   This is the final warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits. The next time you insert a spam link, as you did to Kirlian Camera (band), you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Persistent spammers may have their websites blacklisted, preventing anyone from linking to them from all Wikimedia sites as well as potentially being penalized by search engines. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used only for spamming or advertising. If you would like to be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|Your reason here}}, but you should read our guide to appealing blocks first.

Request reason:

Hi, I would appreciate if you could help me. My account ekaterina68 has been blocked. I believe that it has happen because of my lack of knowledge. I put URL of some useful websites to external links of relevant pages and sometimes did it twice or three times or even more because they did not appear on the wiki pages immediately after aditing. I kept doing it because all the previous information that I put has been disappeared. As I understand now, all the warning information has been already on "my talk" page, but I did not go there because I did not know about "talk page" existence (honestly). So I did not see warnings and did not realise that my editing was disappearing for a reason (Sounds silly, but it is true). I am not very experienced user. I was not aware that adding the info in this way would be considered as vandalism or spam. I respect wikipedia very much and truly believe that spam should not be there. Just try to explain that my intention was not to put spam into wiki, but to add some info. I realised now that it should not be done in this way. I fully appreciate the decision of the admin. I if it is still possible to unblock my account, I would appreciate it. I tried to send the appeal, but I could not do it from the wiki page. Please help. With kindest regards Ekaterina68

Decline reason:

Even if you were not aware of the existence of your talk page, every time you get a new message on it a big orange bar appears at the top of every page you view that says "You have new messages" and it won't go away until you look at the new messages. I don't know how you could have missed it. Since you have done nothing but add links to one particular website, it would help if you could explain specifically what type of edits you would make if you were to be unblocked. If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.
