Pavoloch edit

Hi,

thanks for creating the very interesting article Pavoloch. A few comments:

a) wiki-articles need to be referenced[1] Otherwise the article will be soon marked for deletion.

b) external links are usually put in single brackets, for example: [travel2ukraine.info/pavoloch/ pictures at the travel2ukraine site]. Internal (wiki) links are put in double brackets.

c) My family is from a shtetl, so I share some of your emotions. However, sentences such as "Only a handful of non-Jewish men and women tend to the Shtetl, keeping alive the tragic, beautiful place that is Pavoloch" are not-encyclopaedic, so someone will eventually delete them. Please try to conform to the encyclopaedic style.

Leave me a message (here or on my talkpage) if you need help.

Best regards, Sasha (talk) 21:32, 4 December 2011 (UTC)Reply

Notes edit

  1. ^ See WP:REF. This is just an example how to format the references.

Pavoloch References
Hello. I'm Eislundo, the author of the page, "Pavoloch." Thank you for your suggestions. They were helpful, and I followed B and C to the letter. However, I have a question, about the references. I already referenced my information, by putting up the pages, from which I got my information. If there is another way of referencing, please contact me on my talk page. — Preceding unsigned comment added by Eislundo (talk • contribs) 17:55, 5 December 2011 (UTC)
Hi, I am moving the discussion here (to keep it in one place).
Thanks, the article is becoming better and better. I have formatted the ref-s (for some reason they do not work without "http") and added a couple of categories.
Perhaps one can make the style even a bit more encyclopaedic (e.g. try to rewrite the phrases such "When they got fed up", keeping the content but changing the style a bit). Try to look at examples in Category:Shtetls (for example, Balta, Ukraine).
A side remark: you can add your signature after writing something at a talk page by placing 4 "~" signs (as I do at the end of this message).

Speedy deletion nomination of Straight Tail Meaurroway Opessa edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Straight Tail Meaurroway Opessa requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that your page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the page be "userfied" or emailed to you. Eduemoni↑talk↓ 03:15, 21 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

Disambiguation link notification for June 4 edit

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Logan's Shadow Engine, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Proprietary (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
