January 2018 edit

Hello, Ehipassiko2, and welcome. There was a problem with one of your edits at Feminist views on transgender and transsexual people, and I had to revert it. In this this edit, you added a {{cite web}} citation to a TransAdvocate article, but with a url param that was identified as a Trojan horse exploit. Can you tell me exactly how you discovered the onecenturyavenue url you added to that citation, that names a TransAdvocate article, but points to a Trojan site? I see that later, you changed the "title" param for that citation from "Sex, Gender, and Sexuality: The TransAdvocate interviews Catharine A. MacKinnon" to "HARM IS HARM" in this edit. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 03:14, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Advice to anyone having a look: the url in question was identified as containing HEUR.Trojan.Script.Generic. Step with caution. Mathglot (talk) 03:22, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi again, Ehipassiko2. Just wanted to let you know that I added a section to ANI about this url problem. You can find it here, in case you want to respond there about it. I wouldn't worry about it too much, it's probably nothing, and I'm just being overly cautious. Happy editing, Mathglot (talk) 05:30, 3 February 2018 (UTC)Reply

Hi, Ehipassiko2. Not sure if you are you following the discussion at ANI, which seems to be winding down to a conclusion, or watching these comments here on your talk page. It seems that that url in question was indeed problematic, and certain steps have been taken in that regard.
I just wanted to be clear that as far as I am concerned, you didn't do anything wrong here, and I think I speak for the community on that point. Once the dust has settled, which should be quite soon, you will be able to put back your six edits into the article, minus that one url in the citation. Or if you prefer, I can do a revert and small edit, which will accomplish the same thing for you. I or someone will let you know when the appropriate time is for that. In the meantime, I hope you will continue editing at Wikipedia, and if you have any questions, feel free to contact me on my talk page, or request help using the links in the Welcome message. Thanks, Mathglot (talk) 04:11, 5 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
You're good to redo your edit, minus the offending url in question. Thanks for your patience, and let me know if you need any help. Mathglot (talk) 09:57, 17 February 2018 (UTC)Reply
