Speedy deletion of Dijit

edit

A tag has been placed on Dijit requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about web content, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable, as well as our subject-specific notability guideline for web content.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the article meets the criterion it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the article does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the article or have a copy emailed to you. You have been blocked indefinitely from editing in accordance with Wikipedia's blocking policy because your account is being used only for spam, advertising, or promotion. If you believe this block is unjustified you may contest this block by adding the text {{unblock|Your reason here}} below.

Request reason:

Sorry, I wasn't trying to create an advertisement page. I was trying to write a story about our company. I think this information is important as the company has created what we feel is a unique digital media distribution network. I reviewed several other companies and thought I was following similar presentation guidlines.

Decline reason:

This claim may have had some degree of credibility if you had created the article once. However, it doesn't once you created it a second time, after it was deleted as spam, and this fact was clearly visible over the edit window, you went ahead and recreated it. עוד מישהו Od Mishehu 06:13, 11 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

I assumed based on the explanation provided that I was blocked because I talked about the commercial value of the product and not explaining enough about the series of events which lead to its developments. Therefore, I assume you asking me to change the message and talk more about events which lead up to it. I'm the CEO of the company and took over for some founders. So, after posting the serious events I realized I needed to confirm a few details with the founders and looked to save my work as is. The two postings are different, which shows I was trying to follow the guidlines as I interpreted them.

Decline reason:

As you haven't responded, I'm going to decline this request for now. Under the conflict of interest guidelines, we all agree not to write about our own businesses. If you don't have any other articles you're interested in editing, then you won't need an active account right now, but if you someday become interested in editing articles in which you don't have a conflict of interest, please feel free to request unblock again. I won't decline offhand, but generally speaking, as the CEO of the company, you do understand that Wikipedia has guidelines against Conflicts of Interest, specifically that as the CEO of the company, you are not supposed to create or otherwise edit articles about your own company. Assuming that you won't be doing anything related to your company or adding information about it to Wikipedia, what sorts of editing do you intend to do? --Jayron32.talk.contribs 04:30, 14 February 2009 (UTC)Reply

{unblock|I wasn't aware of the rules. If you notice in my article, I never mentioned myself, I actually wrote about the founders and how they came to start the company. I was very disappointing by the level of communication of your administrators. Instead of educating users they take a accusatory position. I have no intentions of making any edits}}

If you aren't requesting unblock, then there's no need to use the unblock template. I can see several messages on this page where the rules were explained to you, but as we get hundreds of businesses every day that try to use Wikipedia as a forum for advertising, we don't normally have time to enter into long conversations with each of them. Of those hundreds, almost none are at all interested in participating in the Wikipedia project, so there's very little useful education we can offer them. -FisherQueen (talk · contribs) 00:47, 15 February 2009 (UTC)Reply
