Edit summaries edit

Hi there. When editing an article on Wikipedia there is a small field labeled "Edit summary" under the main edit-box. It looks like this:

The text written here will appear on the Recent changes page, in the page revision history, on the diff page, and in the watchlists of users who are watching that article. See m:Help:Edit summary for full information on this feature.

Filling in the edit summary field greatly helps your fellow contributors in understanding what you changed, so please always fill in the edit summary field. If you are adding a section, please do not just keep the previous section's header in the Edit summary field - please fill in your new section's name instead. Thank you. anemoneprojectors 15:58, 16 January 2008 (UTC)Reply

Liam Butcher edit

In this edit you say he appeared in 2000. Can you please verify this? -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 18:55, 23 March 2008 (UTC)Reply

Other than watching the episodes recently, no. Just before Ricky's departure in April 2000, Ricky is sitting in the pub with Liam as Liam is visiting. I think it was just a couple of episodes. It was all part of Ricky's breakdown.

Thanks for replying. Do you know the date/s of the episode/s? Do you know how/where I could watch them? -Trampikey(talk)(contribs) 23:57, 9 April 2008 (UTC)Reply

All I can tell you is that they're from April 2000, I think. I downloaded them from UKNova a few months back so they'll be gone now. they can probably be reseeded. www.walford.net could be a good resource, just before Ricky had his car accident.

STOP RIGHT NOW edit

Please stop moving pages around. You have made a complete mess of everything. It's going to take a while for me to sort it all out now. anemoneprojectors 21:47, 24 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Actually I was referring to when you moved List of minor EastEnders characters (2009) to Dotty Cotton (EastEnders) and then to List of minor EastEnders characters 2009, instead of just cutting the text from Dotty Cotton's section in the list and pasting it to Dotty Cotton. It did make a mess of things and it did take me a while to sort it out. I sent you this message in the hope you would read it straight away and stop making page moves, as I was worried you would continue. But you've obviously only just read this. anemoneprojectors 18:05, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
And actually, all your "undo" edits in the list of characters only had one affect, it took the departing characters out of the present characters section. As Gungadin said below, you should make comments on the talk page because we decided to keep the names in two places on the page. anemoneprojectors 18:07, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

You're an absolute balloon. Why do Dotty, Theo, Syd and Manda all have their 'profiles' under minor characters? The characters are all contracted to appear as regulars in the same wave as Ian, Dot, Pat and Phil so why do they not get their own page?

If you can establish their notability then you can give them separate articles. anemoneprojectors 18:25, 28 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

Surely their notibility was established when the press release announced the arrival of the four full time characters? I would attempt to give them individual articles however it would seem (as you told me) that I made an almighty mess with the separation of Dotty from the minor characters list.

One press release doesn't make them notable. Anyway, perhaps eventually there will be more information available about them from more sources and we can then give them separate articles. There's not really any need to do it now though. Just be patient. And I apologise for before. Your error didn't make too much of a mess in the end. I just panicked. anemoneprojectors 22:46, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply
The other thing I meant to say was that those characters may not be minor in the eyes of EastEnders but going by Wikipedia policy, they are minor at the moment. anemoneprojectors 22:49, 29 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

EE edit

Hi there, regarding your edits to the EE cast list, can you have a lokk on the talk page and contribute to discussion there is you wish. Currently it's now consensus to leave the characters in present as well as the sub section departing. Thanks. GunGagdinMoan 17:51, 27 March 2009 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
