DYK for Dennis Lennon

On 2 April 2019, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Dennis Lennon, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that Dennis Lennon hoped his design for the interior of the Queen Elizabeth 2 (pictured) would be the "setting for the world's best party"? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Dennis Lennon. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Dennis Lennon), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Kenmont Primary

It's not a given that it passes WP:GEOFEAT - "Buildings, including private residences and commercial developments may be notable as a result of their historic, social, economic, or architectural importance, but they require significant coverage by reliable, third-party sources to establish notability." - Lets have the discussion at Talk. Fob.schools (talk) 12:00, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

Please read the first part: "Artificial geographical features that are officially assigned the status of cultural heritage or national heritage, or of any other protected status on a national level and which verifiable information beyond simple statistics are available are presumed to be notable." The school is a listed building. Edwardx (talk) 12:18, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Its not an artificial geographical feature. Its a building. Let's have the discussion at the appropriate venue which is where I started it. The facts are in dispute. We need to discuss it. Asserting/reverting your opinion is not collaborative. Please revert your removal of the template or it goes to WP:ANI Fob.schools (talk) 12:26, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Please note that I had already copied this discussion to Talk:Kenmont Primary School before your response immediately above. That is where you should have started this in the first place. In any event, "artificial geographical feature" includes buildings. Edwardx (talk) 12:35, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Its not an appropriate place to start such a discussion. Its a not very well frequented tiny outpost of the WP universe. When starting a discussion, especially in relation to {{merge school}} the appropriate location is in the destination of the proposed merge. Thats why it is linked from the template. 100s if 1000s of other editors have done this before us, and thats why the template works. Its an invitation to discuss. But you have removed any pointer to the discussion from the article page itself. Which some might call vandalism. The discussion about the merge is taking place at Talk:Kensal Green. Please revert your deletion of the template and engage in the merge discussion. I really dont want to go to ANI. Fob.schools (talk) 12:59, 2 April 2019 (UTC)
Your above link to the discussion was broken (it is noted that you have since fixed it), that is why I could not find it, and started one on the school's article talkpage. Edwardx (talk) 13:27, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

There is currently a discussion at Wikipedia:Administrators' noticeboard/Incidents regarding an issue with which you may have been involved. --Fob.schools (talk) 13:25, 2 April 2019 (UTC)

There is a rather spirited discussion currently ongoing at Talk:Layla Moran#Domestic Violence. Your draft article, Draft:F. Scott Frazier

Hello, Edwardx. It has been over six months since you last edited the Articles for Creation submission or Draft page you started, "F. Scott Frazier".

In accordance with our policy that Wikipedia is not for the indefinite hosting of material deemed unsuitable for the encyclopedia mainspace, the draft has been nominated for deletion. If you plan on working on it further, or editing it to address the issues raised if it was declined, simply edit the submission and remove the {{db-afc}}, {{db-draft}}, or {{db-g13}} code.

If your submission has already been deleted by the time you get there, and you wish to retrieve it, you can request its undeletion by following the instructions at this link. An administrator will, in most cases, restore the submission so you can continue to work on it.

Thanks for your submission to Wikipedia, and happy editing. JMHamo (talk) 21:35, 10 April 2019 (UTC)

Speedy deletion nomination of Patricia Moreira

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Patricia Moreira requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a real person or group of people that does not credibly indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please read more about what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator. Dorsetonian (talk) 18:32, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

As author of the article, you should not delete the speedy deletion tag. Dorsetonian (talk) 18:49, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
Sorry Dorsetonian, I was working too fast and thinking about PRODs. Edwardx (talk) 18:55, 12 November 2019 (UTC)
Not a problem  . I'm sorry, I don't see notability here. But in order to give time for third- (and hopefully more) party discussion, I will swap the CSD nomination for AfD. Dorsetonian (talk) 19:34, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

Nomination of Patricia Moreira for deletion

A discussion is taking place as to whether the article Patricia Moreira is suitable for inclusion in Wikipedia according to Wikipedia's policies and guidelines or whether it should be deleted.

The article will be discussed at Wikipedia:Articles for deletion/Patricia Moreira until a consensus is reached, and anyone, including you, is welcome to contribute to the discussion. The nomination will explain the policies and guidelines which are of concern. The discussion focuses on high-quality evidence and our policies and guidelines.

Users may edit the article during the discussion, including to improve the article to address concerns raised in the discussion. However, do not remove the article-for-deletion notice from the top of the article. Dorsetonian (talk) 19:39, 12 November 2019 (UTC)

Birth date Mary Boone

Hello Edwardx,

I don't understand why you undid my edit regarding the birth date of Mary Boone. Do you consider the International Standard Name Identifier (ISNI) as a primary source? The article already lists it at the bottom, so why do not use the information from there?

Best regards,

--PBJ404 (talk) 21:40, 14 November 2019 (UTC)

Sidhant Kapoor

Just a friendly heads up on Sidhant Kapoor. I declined your speedy request because there are claims of importance (in fact, claims of the higher standard of notability) and it's not fundamentally an advert. If you still think this should be deleted, AfD is the way to go (because I will contest a PROD).----Fabrictramp | talk to me 14:47, 16 November 2019 (UTC)

The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail.
