July 2010 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Everyone is welcome to contribute to the encyclopedia, but when you add or change content, as you did to the article Kanyakumari, please cite a reliable source for the content of your edit. This is particularly important when adding or changing any facts or figures and helps maintain our policy of verifiability. Take a look at Wikipedia:Citing sources for information about how to cite sources and the welcome page to learn more about contributing to this encyclopedia. Thank you. -- 220.101 (talk) \Contribs 07:30, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

I just reverted your addition as a good faith edit, as I noted in the edit summary. Can you show where you are getting this information with WP:RS? Then you stand a good chance of including the material in the Kanyakumari district article. Thanks. Jusdafax 07:48, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply
The same goes for the Nesamony Nagar article. Please give sources. Jusdafax 07:49, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add content without citing verifiable and reliable sources, as you did with this edit to Nadar (caste). Before making any potentially controversial edits, it is recommended that you discuss them first on the article's talk page. Please review the guidelines at Wikipedia:Citing sources and take this opportunity to add references to the article. Jusdafax 09:05, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of History of Kanyakumari district edit

The article History of Kanyakumari district has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

essay / original research / possible copyvio

While all contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, content or articles may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{dated prod}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the article to address the issues raised. Removing {{dated prod}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. The speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. — RHaworth (talk · contribs) 09:16, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Please do not add unsourced or original content, as you did with this edit to Kanyakumari district. Doing so violates Wikipedia's verifiability policy. If you continue to do so, you will be blocked from editing Wikipedia. JamesBWatson (talk) 09:20, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

Elsewhere edit

I am sorry but I believe we have reverted all your edits. The best advice I can give is: please publish your essays, etc. on your own website. Even there you should look upon 50k bytes of plain text as the absolute maximum size for any one page.

Hi edit

You seem to have done good research on your thesis on Kanyakumari district. Personally i find it very interesting. But the tone and style is making it inappropriate for Wikipedia. (You would have noticed that all your contributions are getting deleted). Also if you did this research on your own, it is not accepted here unless you publish it in book form. Even then, you will have to support the article with other sources. For keeping your contributions being deleted from Wikipedia a)change the writing style b)adopt a neutral tone c) use multiple secondary sources instead of primary sources. d) never present your research conclusions without support from other sources. Let me know if you have any doubts. I am sure we can work out a way to include a lot of your material in Wikipedia.--Sodabottle (talk) 18:42, 7 July 2010 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Marshall A Nesamony.JPGg.JPG edit

Thank you for uploading File:Marshall A Nesamony.JPGg.JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have created in your upload log.

License tagging for File:Kanyakumari District irrigation.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading File:Kanyakumari District irrigation.JPG. You don't seem to have indicated the license status of the image. Wikipedia uses a set of image copyright tags to indicate this information; to add a tag to the image, select the appropriate tag from this list, click on this link, then click "Edit this page" and add the tag to the image's description. If there doesn't seem to be a suitable tag, the image is probably not appropriate for use on Wikipedia.

For help in choosing the correct tag, or for any other questions, leave a message on Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. Thank you for your cooperation. --ImageTaggingBot (talk) 10:05, 15 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Copyright violations edit

I have removed your edits from A. Nesamony because they appear to be copied from a book, and are assumed to violate copyright unless there is evidence to the contrary. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and editors may be blocked for repeatedly inserting such material. Please see Talk:A. Nesamony. Johnuniq (talk) 03:38, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

I have had to remove similar material from Kanyakumari district. Even if the material were not a copy violation problem, the same text should not be pasted into multiple articles. Johnuniq (talk) 03:46, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply
Very similar material was pasted into States Reorganisation Commission (now removed). Johnuniq (talk) 04:02, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

For reference, you have edited these articles.

Please remove any copyright violations as soon as possible. Johnuniq (talk) 04:07, 16 October 2010 (UTC)Reply

Nizwa College of Technology moved to draftspace edit

An article you recently created, Nizwa College of Technology, does not have enough sources and citations as written to remain published. It needs more citations from reliable, independent sources. (?) Information that can't be referenced should be removed (verifiability is of central importance on Wikipedia). I've moved your draft to draftspace (with a prefix of "Draft:" before the article title) where you can incubate the article with minimal disruption. When you feel the article meets Wikipedia's general notability guideline and thus is ready for mainspace, please click on the "Submit your draft for review!" button at the top of the page.
