Moving categories edit

Rainbow categories I see that you attempted to rename Category:Rainbow (English band) compilation albums and Category:Rainbow (English band) live albums to foo (British) foo. This is an appropriate change but you went about it out of process. If you'd like to rename a category, the process for this is outlined at WP:CFD. —Justin (koavf)TCM 04:14, 15 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ritchie Blackmore edit

I noticed you revert another IP editors edits. Having looked at the talk page and a quick Google search Ritchie Blackmore evidently classes himself as English, whilst noting his father's family being of Welsh origin. Where his family is from has no baring on where someone is from, particularly when there are references available with quote's from the subject himself and his wife. I have added several references to back that up.

His opinion isn't reliable source because England-born man doesn't mean English ethnicity. Old source refer to his middle name as Harold, not Hugh. --Edvpj (talk) 00:49, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

Please discuss this on the article talk page and come to an agreement there rather than edit war over this. Self description is usually used to determine these things. Thanks Keith D (talk) 11:21, 16 April 2014 (UTC)Reply

ArbCom elections are now open! edit

Hi,
You appear to be eligible to vote in the current Arbitration Committee election. The Arbitration Committee is the panel of editors responsible for conducting the Wikipedia arbitration process. It has the authority to enact binding solutions for disputes between editors, primarily related to serious behavioural issues that the community has been unable to resolve. This includes the ability to impose site bans, topic bans, editing restrictions, and other measures needed to maintain our editing environment. The arbitration policy describes the Committee's roles and responsibilities in greater detail. If you wish to participate, you are welcome to review the candidates' statements and submit your choices on the voting page.
