edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Telegraphy, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Please refrain from making unconstructive edits to Wikipedia, as you did at Sack of Rome (410). Your edits continue to appear to constitute vandalism and have been automatically reverted.

  • If you would like to experiment, please use the sandbox. Note that human editors do monitor recent changes to Wikipedia articles, and administrators have the ability to block users from editing if they repeatedly engage in vandalism.
  • ClueBot NG makes very few mistakes, but it does happen. If you believe the change you made should not have been considered as unconstructive, please read about it, report it here, remove this warning from your talk page, and then make the edit again.
  • If you need help, please see the Introduction to Wikipedia, and if you can't find what you are looking for there, place {{Help me}} on your talk page and someone will drop by to help.
  • The following is the log entry regarding this warning: Sack of Rome (410) was changed by Eduardo Solis Lim Yueng (u) (t) ANN scored at 0.954976 on 2024-08-27T20:11:20+00:00

Thank you. ClueBot NG (talk) 20:11, 27 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because it appears that you are not here to build an encyclopedia.
If you think there are good reasons for being unblocked, please review Wikipedia's guide to appealing blocks, then add the following text to the bottom of your talk page: {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}.  Ad Orientem (talk) 04:01, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply
I was just testing something i promise not to do it again Eduardo Solis Lim Yueng (talk) 15:41, 28 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Request reason:

Hello Wikipedia.

I'm here because a recent block because I create bad edits. I am very sorry about this. I was just testing out the editing systems. If you can't unblock me I request you to remove my account so I can start another one for just reading.

Thanks

Decline reason:

There is no means of removing or deleting accounts due to legal reasons. You may not create additional accounts until this block is removed. Blocks only prevent editing, they do not prevent merely reading Wikipedia. You are free to continue to use this account to just read(or you may also just read without an account, as long as you make no edits of any kind). If you want to contribute to building this encyclopedia, please tell how exactly you will do that, and tell what edits you want to make. I am declining your request. 331dot (talk) 08:21, 29 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

If you want to make any further unblock requests, please read the guide to appealing blocks first, then use the {{unblock}} template again. If you make too many unconvincing or disruptive unblock requests, you may be prevented from editing this page until your block has expired. Do not remove this unblock review while you are blocked.

Request reason:

Good morning.

My account got blocked because I did 2 terrible edits. I was just trying to prove a teacher that the system would block me and take down my edit if I made a bad edit and told her that Wikipedia has a whole team dedicated to approve edits. I request a unblock since I didn't necceserily do it to vandalise or damage others people's work. It would be much appreciated.

Regards

Decline reason:

Please answer Newyorkbrad's question below. You can do so in a fresh unblock request. Thanks, HouseBlaster (talk • he/they) 21:11, 2 November 2024 (UTC)Reply

Someone else will review your request, but that's not exactly right- we don't have a specific team to "approve edits"; Wikipedia is a volunteer project with editors from all around the world who contribute towards building this encyclopedia and make sure that articles accurately summarize the provided sources. Instead of experimenting, you could have just asked us what would happen if you vandalized articles. To be unblocked, you will need to tell us how you want to contribute to this encyclopedia. If you have no intention of editing, there is nothing we need to do here as blocks only prevent editing. 331dot (talk) 09:20, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Ok, I wasn't aware of that. If it just prevents editing why can't I change my name or delete this account because it's useless now. Eduardo Solis Lim Yueng (talk) 21:53, 31 August 2024 (UTC)Reply

Hi. I am just following up on this as the unblock request is still pending. If you would like permission to resume editing, please describe what you would edit if you were unblocked. If you do not plan to resume editing, you do not need to be unblocked just to read articles. If the real issue is that you would like to change the name of the blocked account for privacy reasons, please let me know that and I will see whether that can be done.
