Disputed fair use rationale for Image:Rtmlogo5.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Rtmlogo5.jpg. However, there is a concern that the rationale you have provided for using this image under "fair use" may be invalid. Please read the instructions at Wikipedia:Non-free content carefully, then go to the image description page and clarify why you think the image qualifies for fair use. Using one of the templates at Wikipedia:Fair use rationale guideline is an easy way to ensure that your image is in compliance with Wikipedia policy, but remember that you must complete the template. Do not simply insert a blank template on an image page.

If it is determined that the image does not qualify under fair use, it will be deleted within a couple of days according to our criteria for speedy deletion. If you have any questions please ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thank you.BetacommandBot 20:34, 24 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

your note edit

Hey, I blocked that user because their name was pig latin for a rude phrase that I thought could be classified as an "offensive username" per WP:UN. If you still disagree, we can have a discussion about it, but I strongly suspect others will agree that the name's inappropriate. Peace, delldot talk 09:58, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

It translates to "fuck you". (See, you take the first sound of the word, and put it on the back of the word with "ay"). delldot talk 10:03, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
Sure, what was the name of the page? delldot talk 10:06, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply
It was {{Character-artwork}}. delldot talk 10:11, 25 October 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Chinese edit

I may be ethnically Chinese but it's never fair to assume that means I know the Chinese language; thus there's no good reason to put zh-0 on my userpage. People should not assume I know languages which I have not listed on my userpage. My actual knowledge of Chinese would probably put me around zh-0.2 or zh-0.3, btw. Thanks edit

Thanks a lot for your help. It still makes me wonder how do you manage all your Wikipedia accounts? Do you own any bots.MSWiki 01:49, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Sockpuppets and bots are quite similar.Bots are mostly computer operated. I am interested to know how they work. How about sockpuppets, do you own any of those? MSWiki 14:06, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I do own a bot but I seldom use it. I thought of learning how to use a bot but it is just quite complicated. By the way, do you know your user name actually can be translated. For example, the name Edmund in Japanese is something like this エドマンド whereas in Russian is like this Эдмунд. Check the interwiki for the name Edmund. I would suggest you to be careful when doing the translation as they might bring another meaning in that particular language. For Ezekiel and Mahmudlsa, there might be translated. MSWiki (talk) 08:06, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

What's wrong with a Kana script on your name? Besides, you do know how to read Japanese right. Anyway, regarding my edit to the article safety, I do admit that I did that only to the interwiki section. I was adding an interwiki for the Malay version and I realized the list wasn't in order. That's why I deleted everything on the interwiki and re-paste it again. How I wish if that bot could send the message privately? MSWiki (talk) 09:29, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

There are so many rules and regulation in Wikipedia. Firstly, there are some rules stated in Meta-Wiki but is not stated in the encyclopedia version. Then we have other rules in other version and language which might be translated wrongly. Sorry about that. I seldom read the rules and regulation. Besides, rules are meant to be broken. Do they have a customer service department here which handle inquires? MSWiki (talk) 09:55, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks a lot for your note. The help desk didn't look user friendly. Too crowded. For Meta-Wiki, is every administrator supposed to open an account there or is it automatically open. Is there a list of administrator in Meta-Wiki to clarify that this particular user is an administrator? Just wondering. I know I should actually refer this to help desk instead of you. Sorry about that. MSWiki (talk) 14:40, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Thanks for your tips. I think I will have to change my username first before I start opening more user accounts. Btw: I know your real name. It looks like you have taken extra care by hiding your real identity. Too bad you will never know my real name. One more thing, who says you only work as an administrator online. You do have a blog and you earn money through adsense. Quite a high pay. MSWiki (talk) 02:50, 18 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I didn't say that you are the only admin online. What I mean was you do actually earn money in other ways online. Btw you started adsense not long ago. Maybe about 3-5 months- don't ask me how I know about all these details. The first adsense check takes about 8-12 months for a normal traffic website. Just be patient. Sorry to touch on personal matters. I just broke the rules. MSWiki (talk) 09:44, 18 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Rencong script edit

Hi, I was trying to find the Malay paragraph in this article that you've hidden, but couldn't spot.... do you mind pointing it out to me so I can translate it? Thanks, ---- Sepa (talk) 19:18, 16 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Hi, thanks for this, I'll add it to the article and remove the article from the translation page. --Sepa (talk) 10:21, 17 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Shlama edit

T'rima kasih Edmund for translating the shlama article. Salaam. Alastair Haines (talk) 02:33, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

I like all contributions on Wiki, but I like translation work especially, because it brings people together. I also like people from South East Asia, so that makes me happy. Finally, in Indonesia at least, shlama is related to selamat via Arabic. It is the same in Malaysian? Alastair Haines (talk) 08:31, 23 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Re: Steward elections edit

Hello, can you please modify your script for the election page? I'm thinking of spliting into smaller sections, such as this, you know what I mean? By then it will be easier for us to vote, and also to avoid edit conflict for different sections, such as if a supporter had edit conflict with an opposer. Thanks a lot! Oh, and please go and help split into sections like me. Thank you! --Edmund the King of the Woods! (talk) 00:05, 27 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

Something about JA edit

Hello. I requested for canceling block of you. Though I do not know which community will decide. It might already be seen to vandal for the person who doesn't speak English to be written in English. --Nekosuki (talk) 12:02, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

A good news. Your block in JA-Wikipedia was canceled as policy deviating. --Nekosuki (talk) 12:43, 28 November 2007 (UTC)Reply

It was a toss-up whether to block for username or for gross vandalism.[1][2][3] Do you think the editor is likely to be a valuable contributor if he weren't blocked? ·:· Will Beback ·:· —Preceding comment was added at 00:57, 17 December 2007 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion of Kyai Blorong edit

A tag has been placed on Kyai Blorong requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is notable: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the article that would would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Pictures on Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu edit

Hello Mr. Edmundwoods. I have noticed that some pictures on the Malay wikipedia may be needed for this English wikipedia (eg. gambar-gambar menteri). May you upload those pictures onto the English Wiki? thank you. User:KMChin User talk:KMChin

RE: RE: Pictures on Wikipedia Bahasa Melayu edit

Hello Mr. Edmundwoods. I would say that the pictures of Malaysian historical figures (eg. [4] V. T. Sambanthan [5] Lim Chong Eu and other historical figures that you deem appropriate) should be uploaded to English Wikipedia. Also, pictures of Malaysian politicians ([6] Samy Vellu [7] Ong Ka Ting [8] Badruddin Amiruldin [9] Koh Tsu Koon [10] Karpal Singh and others} since their photos are not available in this wikipedia. I would also like to highlight the fact that the Malay wikipedia has multiple articles on the same person { three articles on Nazri Aziz, two on V. T. Sambanthan and Badruddin Amiruldin. Thank you, and Merry Christmas to you. KMChin (talk) 06:54, 26 December 2007 (UTC)Reply
