I have reverted your removal of maps in this article. Although I understand your point that the western and northern boundaries were in a state of flux during the early empire, it is counterproductive to remove multiple maps illustrating pertinent information within the article text. Please discuss and gain consensus on the article's talk before making further major changes in the article. Criticism edit
Not a good contributor, on the Largest Empires list, he removed Portugal from the 10th position down to 21st which does not make any kind of sense since the Portuguese Empire encompassed Brazil and much more. Brazil is number 11th now, because, of course, the editor is brazilian.
