List of T.U.F.F. Puppy episodes

edit

Hi, I reverted your recent edits to List of T.U.F.F. Puppy episodes for two reasons: 1) Wikipedia is not TV Guide, so listing their current broadcast schedule and times is beyond the scope of the article. 2) The statement "New episodes currently air" is an ephemeral statement. That is, it is accurate now, but it is a fleeting truth that assumes someone will always be around to keep it current. And through the eyes of the first-time reader, "New episodes currently air" could have been written a year ago, a month ago, and may or may not be valid by the time they read it--which could be now, or a year from now. Just thought I'd give you a more thorough explanation. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 23:14, 26 October 2013 (UTC)Reply

Ways to improve Rigby (Regular Show character)

edit

Hi, I'm Mz7. Editor605, thanks for creating Rigby (Regular Show character)!

I've just tagged the page, using our page curation tools, as having some issues to fix. You need to add references to third party reliable sources to show that the subject of the article is "notable" and worthy of inclusion in Wikipedia. See WP:42 for more information about notability.

The tags can be removed by you or another editor once the issues they mention are addressed. If you have questions, you can leave a comment on my talk page. Or, for more editing help, talk to the volunteers at the Teahouse. Mz7 (talk) 19:45, 30 May 2014 (UTC)Reply

edit

Hello Editor605, and welcome to Wikipedia. Some of your additions to Mordecai (Regular Show character) and Rigby (Regular Show character) have had to be removed, as they appear to have added copyrighted material without permission from the copyright holder. While we appreciate your contributing to Wikipedia, there are certain things you must keep in mind about using information from your sources to avoid copyright or plagiarism issues here.

  • You can only copy/translate a small amount of a source, and you must mark what you take as a direct quotation with double quotation marks (") and a cited source. You can read about this at Wikipedia:Non-free content in the sections on "text". See also Help:Referencing for beginners, for how to cite sources here.
  • Aside from limited quotation, you must put all information in your own words and structure, in proper paraphrase. Following the source's words too closely can create copyright problems, so it is not permitted here; see Wikipedia:Close paraphrasing. (There is a college-level introduction to paraphrase, with examples, hosted by the Online Writing Lab of Purdue.) Even when using your own words, you are still, however, asked to cite your sources to verify information and to demonstrate that the content is not original research.
  • Our primary policy on using copyrighted content is Wikipedia:Copyrights. You may also want to review Wikipedia:Copy-paste.
  • If you own the copyright to the source you want to copy or are a designated agent, you may be able to license that text so that we can publish it here. However, there are steps that must be taken to verify that license before you do. See Wikipedia:Donating copyrighted materials.
  • In very rare cases (that is, for sources that are public domain or compatibly licensed), it may be possible to include greater portions of a source text. However, please seek help at the help desk before adding such content to the article. 99.9% of sources may not be added in this way, so it is necessary to seek confirmation first. If you do confirm that a source is public domain or compatibly licensed, you will still need to provide full attribution; see Wikipedia:Plagiarism for the steps you need to follow.
  • Also note that Wikipedia articles may not be copied without attribution. If you want to copy from another Wikipedia project or article, you can, but please follow the steps in Wikipedia:Copying within Wikipedia.

It's very important that contributors understand and follow these practices, as policy requires that people who persistently do not must be blocked from editing. If you have any questions about this, you are welcome to leave me a message on my talk page. The information appeared to be taken directly from http://regularshow.wikia.com/wiki/Mordecai and http://regularshow.wikia.com/wiki/Rigby respectively. Thank you. Your contributed article, American Dad (season 12)

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

Hello, I noticed that you recently created a new page, American Dad (season 12). First, thank you for your contribution; Wikipedia relies solely on the efforts of volunteers such as you. Unfortunately, the page you created covers a topic on which we already have a page – American Dad! (season 11). Because of the duplication, your article has been tagged for speedy deletion. Please note that this is not a comment on you personally and we hope you will continue helping to improve Wikipedia. If the topic of the article you created is one that interests you, then perhaps you would like to help out at American Dad! (season 11) – you might like to discuss new information at the article's talk page.

If you think the article you created should remain separate, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, and you wish to retrieve the deleted material for future reference or improvement, then please contact the deleting administrator, or if you have already done so, you can place a request here. Additionally if you would like to have someone review articles you create before they go live so they are not nominated for deletion shortly after you post them, allow me to suggest the article creation process and using our search feature to find related information we already have in the encyclopedia. Try not to be discouraged. Wikipedia looks forward to your future contributions. Postcard Cathy (talk) 03:40, 16 October 2014 (UTC)Reply

Unexplained removal of references and unexplained changes

edit

In these edits you remove references with no explanation. Please don't do this again. References are necessary to ensure accuracy. Please also do not make changes without providing an edit summary, as unexplained changes often appear as vandalism to experienced editors. And if you're going to reorganize the entire List of programs broadcast by Disney Channel article, you might consider posting on the talk page first. If you don't talk, and your edit history suggests that you don't, I don't know what to tell you, as Wikipedia is a community project and discussion is a crucial part of the editing process, and editors who make bold changes but refuse to discuss them, often wind up blocked. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 06:20, 19 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

But still it is programming on the network since Disney XD is a cable channel and a kids network it should have reruns placed.
Why? We are not here to catalog every fact about an article subject, only the most important aspects. We are also not a TV guide. Additionally, the content you keep adding is unsourced. How is anyone supposed to verify that Fish Hooks started airing in reruns on February 14, 2011? What should we do, take your word for it? Episode guides don't include this information because it is not noteworthy unless there is a significant reason to, for instance if I Love Lucy was determined to be the most consistently re-aired series in television, or something similar, and a published source reported this fact. You need to familiarize yourself with basic concepts like WP:V if you intend to edit here. Cyphoidbomb (talk) 20:04, 25 January 2015 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Regularshowcover6.jpg

edit

A tag has been placed on File:Regularshowcover6.jpg, requesting that it be deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under two or more of the criteria for speedy deletion, by which articles can be deleted at any time, without discussion. If the page meets any of these strictly-defined criteria, then it may be soon be deleted by an administrator. The reasons it has been tagged are:

  • It is an image licensed as "for non-commercial use only," "non-derivative use" or "used with permission," it has not been shown to comply with the limited standards for the use of non-free content [6], and it was either uploaded on or after 2005-05-19, or is not used in any articles. (See section F3 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) If you agree with the deletion, there is no need to do anything. If, however, you believe that this image may be retained on Wikipedia under one of the permitted conditions then you should do two things. First, please state clearly the source of the image. If it has been copied from elsewhere on the web you should provide links to: the image itself, the page which uses it and the page which contains the license conditions. Second, please add the relevant copyright tag.
  • The image appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. (See section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion.) For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted images or text borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Proposed deletion of CeeLo Green's The Good Life

edit

The article CeeLo Green's The Good Life has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Minimal sourcing found

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
