Some tips

edit
  • When you include the references as in-line tags (e.g. <ref>like this</ref>), you do not need to repeat the citation later in a references section. It is a good idea to put the {{Reflist}} template toward the end of the article, which will repeat all of the references you cited earlier.
  • To do a header, place it between two sets of two equal signs, == like this ==. To do a subheader, throw in an additional equal sign on each side, === like this ===
  • To italicize, place two single quote marks on either side of the portion you wish to italicize, ''like this'' (but not "like this").
  • To 'bold, place three single quote marks on either side of the portion you wish to bold, '''like this'''.
  • I strongly recommend that you go to Wikipedia:Changing_username and apply for a username change. Our username policy usually restricts usernames with the word "Wiki" in them to accounts affiliated with the Wikimedia foundation.
  • When in doubt, look at how other articles do things.

Oh, I forgot: we also have a manual of style that discusses some other finer points of formatting. Ian.thomson (talk) 04:02, 23 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

I'm ready to move this to the "real" site. I have read the replies to my teahouse queries, but I'm still not sure how to process the move, especially since I am not yet autoconfirmed and have no "MOVE" option on my page. Could someone process the move for me? EditWikiJapan (talk) 01:42, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

You may not have permission to move articles yet, I'm not sure how that works. I do know I have permission, so I'll move it for you. Ian.thomson (talk) 01:51, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
I've moved it to Japan Chernobyl Foundation, and reset your sandbox so you can use it for other stuff. Ian.thomson (talk) 01:58, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply

Thank you. I appreciate all the advice and assistance. EditWikiJapan (talk) 02:12, 25 June 2015 (UTC)Reply
