Speedy deletion nomination of Takedo panacea edit

A tag has been placed on Takedo panacea, requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section G11 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the page seems to be unambiguous advertising which only promotes a company, product, group, service or person and would need to be fundamentally rewritten in order to become an encyclopedia article. Please read the guidelines on spam as well as Wikipedia:FAQ/Business for more information. You may also wish to consider using a Wizard to help you create articles - see the Article Wizard.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hangon}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion or "db" tag), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. Lastly, please note that if the page does get deleted, you can contact one of these admins to request that they userfy the page or have a copy emailed to you. Please stop re-adding promotional material to wikipedia. I'd love to walk you through the guidelines for what we can include here, but that was so far off the mark that I would not know where to begin. Future additions of material promoting your 'company' or products can lead to this account being disabled. Thanks. Kuru (talk) 19:04, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Your message edit

Sure. Just a few questions first.

  1. What are you trying to write an encyclopedia entry about? You seem to be attempting to illustrate a great many things in your writings. What is the primary topic - your business, your script, your beliefs?
  2. Persuant to the topic in question one, can you provide reliable, third party sources to verify each statement? For example, are there any newspaper articles about your business, or reviews?
  3. Could you please verify the license information you placed on the image you uploaded here? The original artwork appears to be hosted here and it does not appear to agree with the copyright and artist you supplied. A quick answer on this question would be appreciated; take your time on the others. Kuru (talk) 22:16, 21 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Hi Kuru, thanks for taking the time to break things down and make these first steps:
  1. I am trying to write an encyclopedia story about a company and its endeavors. Obviously a much-much larger company, Cisco Systems, has a Wikipedia page and on this page it has links that discusses its products. I am merely following this same paradigm, albeit for a much smaller company though the product line's reach are soon to be also global (a meditation/yoga aide chewing gum, a worldwide TV Show, a script that teaches others to reach Christ-consciousness, and an image that virtually proves a link between science with ancient mysticism). So basically the point is to list and describe (in detail) the products and services. Is this flat-out not permit-able? If not how can I get more aligned with Wikipedia's standards?
  2. No, not all of them.
  3. As I posted on your page I pretty much fooled myself. I could have sworn that that page I referenced for this file was the original and at the bottom of that page it had the Creative Commons license. To my chagrin you were right and since Genzoman hasn't clearly posted a license we should probably delete. But the website says that this image has been downloaded 15,422! Does that not make it fair-game for posting on Wikipedia? Or does the license need to be explicitly given (i.e. we can't make assumptions)?

Thanks!!! Edegonz (talk) 08:45, 22 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

The answer to 2 is problematic. If there are no reliable sources for the information about your company, there is nothing I can help you with. I've looked around for anything related to 'Takedo panacea' and have come up empty handed. You can read our policy on verifiability if that helps. I've also deleted the image mentioned above, as the author explicitly claims copyright. Thanks. Kuru (talk) 13:19, 22 February 2010 (UTC)Reply
  • Okay. Makes sense. Sorry for putting Wikipedia in jeopardy for posting that file that had asserted copy-rights. While Takedo Panacea becomes more legitimate and indirectly generates verifiably-reliable sources for the information about it per question #2 above can I at least maintain my user page without it being deleted? Thanks, Ede Edegonz (talk) 19:56, 22 February 2010 (UTC)Reply

Proposed deletion of File:TakedoaPanaceaLogo.JPG edit

The file File:TakedoaPanaceaLogo.JPG has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Unused logo with no article used, it's also can't move to commons because of an unused logo will be deleted as of out of project scope.

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated files}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the file's talk page.

Please consider addressing the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated files}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and files for discussion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion.
