the wikipedia pages on the subject of freewill are peppered with the words... thinking..thoughts..the mind etc etc whereas in truth these words are all concerned with the least known learnings of the human. The mind has never ever been identified.Thinking is constantly used even though the thought process if such a thing exixts has never been understood. Hypnosis is unexplained even by those who make a living from it and the following fable from a junior school text book circa 1930 is a good example....a king having captured his sworn enemy gave the man a sporting chance by saying that if he could tell the king what he was thinking by midnight he would be freed.the man in his cell contacted the court jester and bribed him to agree to lend his jester costume with hat and mask following the evenings court performance.so dressed as the jester he followed on by saying to the king now may i be allowed to do my best trick sire... i can tell you what you are thinking .. you are thinking that i am the jester and then unmasking he declared i am your prisoner and now you must let me free.. a few days ago a times article began with the sentence .....yesterday i thought of a good idea....this showing that the writer didnt know that an idea is already a thought .As for positive and negative thinking how can anyone have any thoughts other than those which are not opposed to how they feel?.....once again the question has been asked if or not a computer will ever think like a human to which the answer is no not without it being given human feelings it wont and as someone writing in the times said recently that until he sees some reaction from a computer when placed next to another one he will be of that same opinion. A computer will never care if someone has switched it on or off .In other words no feelings no thoughts ...a feeling is always accompanied by a thought similarly a thought goes hand in hand with a feeling Eddybrad (talk) 12:38, 13 August 2018 (UTC)and as henry kissinger once replied when asked what his thoughts were on the syrians he simply replied that he had no feel for the syrians. A simple example of the dangers of using the ambiguous term of think is shown from the same school story saying that if you see a piebald horse make a wish remembering that only if you havent thought about its tail your wish will be granted..Is it in a similar fashion when judges remind juries not to consider certain statements and to put them out of their mind when considering a verdict. A bronze by rodin given the name the thinker of a man seated with head in hands could more accurately have been described thus....brought to a halt with troubled thoughts and unanswered questions coming into his head he felt the need for a quite and undisturbed seclusion until answers and sufficient ideas coming into his head would give him the desire to continue onwards......or perhaps more simply that there was something important he couldnt remember and that he had to sit and wait for it to come back to him..we may all of us have been advised that with a difficult problem we would do better to go to bed and sleep on it and in russia a well known saying suggests that morning is wiser than eveningEddybrad (talk) 08:27, 29 September 2017 (UTC)...this may go some way to answer the question ...how did the first thought coming into our head in the morning get there and might raise the question.... was it in the morning we voted for brexit or in the eveningEddybrad (talk) 11:27, 15 February 2018 (UTC) [User:Eddybrad|Eddybrad]] (talk) 16:33, 13 September 2017 (UTC)Eddybrad (talk) 19:48, 10 September 2017 (UTC)Eddybrad (talk) 19:54, 22 April 2017 (UTC)[User:Eddybrad|Eddybrad]] (talk) 18:50, 22 January 2017 (UTC) 81.136.153.215 (talk) 14:33, 18 May 2015 (UTC) Eddybrad (talk) 18:00, 30 October 2014 (UTC) Eddybrad (talk) 19:42, 29 April 2014 (UTC)Reply
