March 2019 edit

Welcome to Wikipedia. Because we have a policy against usernames which give the impression that the account represents a group, organization or website, I have blocked this account; please take a moment to create a new account with a username that represents only yourself as an individual and which complies with our username policy or request a change of username.

You should also read our conflict of interest guideline and be aware that promotional editing is not acceptable regardless of the username you choose.

If your username does not represent a group, organization or website, you may appeal this username block by adding the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}} at the bottom of your talk page.

You may simply create a new account, but you may prefer to change your username to one that complies with our username policy, so that your past contributions are associated with your new username. If you would prefer to change your username, you may appeal this username block by adding the text

{{unblock-un|new username|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}

at the bottom of your talk page. Please note that you may only request a name that is not already in use, so please check here for a listing of already taken names.

 Thank you. 331dot (talk) 20:01, 26 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Requested username:

Request reason:

I didn't realise the username could not represent an organisation. I would like to change this to EdWilson.IOM

Accept reason:

I have renamed your account from Iomttraces and will remove the block; before you edit further, especially if you want to edit about your organization or its events, you must review conflict of interest and paid editing first. 331dot (talk) 14:37, 29 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Your recent change to Isle of Man TT edit

I have restored in this change the website link you deleted, together with a bit of explanatory text. Preference given to one (new) website by deleting the existing link I regard as partisan editing.

Thank you for using the name Ed Wilson; this suggests you are the same "TT & Motorsport Digital Content Manager for the Isle of Man Department for Enterprise". I see you have been given above guidance pointing towards the Wikipedia policies regarding Conflict of Interest editing. You can suggest changes - supported by appropriate secondary sources - at Talk pages, but direct involvement is strongly discouraged. Thank you.--Rocknrollmancer (talk) 01:30, 9 April 2019 (UTC)Reply
