Robert Aldridge (composer)

edit

Hi, When you create an article with a "disambiguation" in brackets like this, please remember to provide a link from the un-disambiguated version. I've added what's called a "hatnote" (goes at the top of the article) to Robert Aldridge. Sometimes it will be a case of adding someone to a disambiguation page where there are several people of the same name (or creating such a page if it becomes necessary). In this case there's also a disambiguation page for the surname at Aldridge (disambiguation) - I've added him. But without these links, someone typing "Robert Aldridge" would not be led to your article, only to the clergyman. There's a lot to learn about editing Wikipedia - enojy it! Speedy deletion nomination of Herschel Garfein

edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Herschel Garfein requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that this notice was placed here in error, you may contest the deletion by adding {{hang on}} to the top of the page that has been nominated for deletion (just below the existing speedy deletion, or "db", tag; if no such tag exists, then the page is no longer a speedy delete candidate and adding a hang-on tag is unnecessary), coupled with adding a note on the talk page explaining your position, but be aware that once tagged for speedy deletion, if the page meets the criterion, it may be deleted without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but don't hesitate to add information to the page that would render it more in conformance with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WuhWuzDat 19:49, 24 November 2010 (UTC)Reply

Filmography tables

edit

Please do not introduce anymore unnecessary HTML to filmography tables, such as this and this. We have the "wikitable sortable" for such, which meets accessibility and usability needs. Thank you. —Mike Allen 02:50, 6 January 2011 (UTC)Reply

Non-free rationale for File:SimCitySocial-logo-380x224.png

edit

Thanks for uploading or contributing to File:SimCitySocial-logo-380x224.png. I notice the file page specifies that the file is being used under non-free content criteria, but there is not a suitable explanation or rationale as to why each specific use in Wikipedia is acceptable. Please go to the file description page, and edit it to include a non-free rationale.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified the non-free rationale on those pages too. You can find a list of 'file' pages you have edited by clicking on the "my contributions" link (it is located at the very top of any Wikipedia page when you are logged in), and then selecting "File" from the dropdown box. Note that any non-free media lacking such an explanation will be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the file is already gone, you can still make a request for undeletion and ask for a chance to fix the problem. If you have any questions, please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Sfan00 IMG (talk) 19:05, 29 June 2012 (UTC)Reply
