October 2023 edit

Hello. This is a message to let you know that one or more of your recent contributions, such as the edit(s) you made to Steve Young, did not appear to be constructive and have been reverted. Please take some time to familiarise yourself with our policies and guidelines. You can find information about these at our welcome page which also provides further information about contributing constructively to this encyclopedia. If you only meant to make test edits, please use your sandbox for that. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you may leave a message on my talk page. Thank you. Obviously I disagree, otherwise I wouldn't have posted it. It's a tidbit under "personal", in my opinion no more or less trivial than other tidbits in the same section. This kind of personal detail adds to the humanity of an individual who is so revered in the Bay Area for his football accomplishments. I've been listening to his bits on KNBR for years, and most of his fans will have no idea about these details because they don't catch the show. Hence this anecdote.
Heck, the fact that he's a regular on KNBR belongs on this page, too. EclecticSantaRosa (talk) 00:04, 7 October 2023 (UTC)Reply
Hey EclecticSantaRosa, I reverted your edits as the information seemed too close to fancruft than I felt was relevant for a Wikipedia article. We can't possibly list a person's opinions on every topic they've ever talked about. If there is more content in the article that is similar to the information you added, then it likely has to be removed as well. I encourage you to start a discussion on the article's talk page to form consensus with other editors on what steps to take. Let me know if you have any questions!
