August 2010 edit

This is the only warning you will receive regarding your disruptive edits.
The next time you remove or blank page contents or templates from Wikipedia, as you did to Lockheed C-130 Hercules, you may be blocked from editing without further notice. Dave ♠♣♥♦№1185♪♫™ 17:59, 17 August 2010 (UTC)Reply

Dave, sorry for that. I noticed a bad link, and I traced it down to some good additions from six weeks ago. If I corrected it in a six-week-old version, reverting since then, I appologize, and will be more vigilant. Lesson learned: after finding where it went bad, make sure you are at the most-recent copy before editing. EchoPapa 18:24, 17 August 2010 (UTC)

Hi Dave1185, please don't bite the newbies. Never give a formal "only warning" as your first warning to a new editor unless you are absolutely clear that their intent was to compromise the integrity of the article or its content. Generally a level one warning will suffice or a personal hand typed message directly from yourself. Blocking can only be done by an administrator with tools. Rarely will they block without a discussion unless there are extenuating circumstances.--Mark Miller (talk) 21:29, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
By the way...your edit to the TMT page was accurate and I was mistaken. My apologies for reverting you. The edit was returned by another experienced editor and I have figured out my misunderstanding. Thanks and Happy editing.--Mark Miller (talk) 22:04, 7 May 2015 (UTC)Reply
