Soap Opera Articles

Hello Eaststreetlover. I've recently noticed you are participating in a high volume of disruptive editing. Please do move pages because "that is her legal name" - As this is wikipedia and we edit fiction from the real world perspective - Wikipedia:COMMONNAME applies to these chaarcters. What they are most well known as in the real world, via media/sources/popculture is what we go off. Do not remove hidden message as they are in place for a reason and more than five editors have endorsed what they are saying. I've just noticed you have created John Barton (Emmerdale character) and Katy Armstrong (Coronation Street), despite redirects having already been created for the articles at the correct names. John's article has very few sources, while Katy's has none. You also blanked the list entries without an explanation. If you want to create an article for John, you have to have plenty of sources and real world information about casting, characterisation, important storylines, reception, etc. Then you need to create it at John Barton (Emmerdale), the correct name for the article. I wonder, did you check if a redirect already existed, before you created your article? The same thing goes for Katy. Her article needs to be created at Katy Armstrong, but only when you have plenty of sources. I think GSorby may have been working on an article for her, so you might want to ask if you can help or if it's ready. If you don't have any sources and real world info for the characters, have a look for some and maybe create a sandbox (User:Eaststreetlover/John Barton or User:Eaststreetlover/Katy Armstrong) where you can draft your articles. I often do mine offline. Once it's complete, you can ask an admin to move it for you. One quick note, please use edit summaries! Corrie/Emmerdale

Please stop creating new articles for characters that already have established links for their redirects. If you think a character needs an article instead of a redirect, type over the redirect instead of creating a brand new page. You are causing me a lot of work to merge these histories. Also, the characters are not notable, so I have to revert back to the redirect anyway. In other words, think about what you're doing before you do it. Hey. I would create a draft in your userspace first, for example; User:Eaststreetlover/Xin or User:Eaststreetlover/Faye. You'll need to gather a lot of reliable sources for casting, development and reception sections (aka real world information). The guidelines at WP:SOAPS may be useful to you, particularly Notability standards. Re: Changes to my edits

I'm sorry, but rowspans in the table look horrible and will always need changing when more information becomes available, therefore they are a little pointless. You also removed sources in the Coronation Street table, which I added back. I will not stop editing something because you don't like it.
