Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to List of killings by law enforcement officers in the United States, July 2014. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. Thank you. LakesideMinersCome Talk To Me! 17:22, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Sorry, new to editing Wikipedia, so not good at talk pages yet, however: Nothing I typed was personal point of view. All are objective facts. I will remove the line about the family not getting their day in court and replace it with a citation of the family being denied their day in court. Thank you. In the future, seem like a dick move to just roll back a valid edit instead of removing the "offending" line. Also you might want to go ahead and track me cause I'm going to be uploading more police killing data. Thanks! EastTNPoliceStories (talk) 18:02, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
"The victim's family was not even allowed their day in court." immediately puts a spin on the topic, and is not encyclopedic in any way, shape, or form. But this is just one example from your latest edit. The facts are; Ron was killed by David; The footage did not clearly show the events. This is what you should focus on. And saying "you might want to track me" is suggesting you don't wish to learn how to successfully contribute to the wiki. Thepenguin9 (talk) 18:18, 8 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
EastTNPoliceStories, its not my job to make your edits follow guidelines, its YOUR job. and the list about them is meant to just list people who were killed by police and how, dont talk about if it was justified or not. or what is going on in court. just a list of people killed and what the circumstances were.   Please do not add commentary, your own point of view, or your own personal analysis to Wikipedia articles, as you did to Knox County, Tennessee. Doing so violates Wikipedia's neutral point of view policy and breaches the formal tone expected in an encyclopedia. see also wp:NOTNEWS and wp:IINFO. None of the text in question is my POV. The language is as neutral as necessary and the sources back up the text. Perhaps you do not like the subject matter? Also, neither section is "News". Both stories I posted are years old and are relevant to the history and present of KSCO. In fact similiar content is already hosted on the hundred+ of Wikipedia pages dedicated to police killings in the US. [1] EastTNPoliceStories (talk) 15:52, 9 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Dispute resolution noticeboard

edit

When you add a new discussion to the dispute resolution noticeboard, you are required to notify the other users whom you have named in the dispute. I found the section by accident, by looking at your contributions, and I pinged the other users, and Bneu2013 has added their comments, but you should really follow the instructions left by HeartGlow30797 and inform Viewmont Viking of the discussion. and did not find what it meant or how to use it. Thanks for tagging them in the talk page. It looks like Bneu2013 responded about six minutes ago. EastTNPoliceStories (talk) 20:26, 10 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Well now I see how that works. EastTNPoliceStories (talk) 20:26, 10 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

Shouting

edit

As a friendly reminder please review shout. I am going to edit my shout as well to just regular text. Thank you for your civil conversation.--VVikingTalkEdits 14:44, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply

I believe the presence of this Heading on my page gives WP:UNDUE weight to this complaint and make it appears as though I have a pattern of using all caps, when in fact in the event in question I used less than 30 characters of emphasis capitalization. I'll provide a source to back up my claim: https://en.wikipedia.org/w/index.php?title=Talk:Knoxville_Police_Department&oldid=977879485 Now can you please as WikiDan61 to cite a single non-essay source for anything please? Side note: I believe I'm allowed to be sarcastic on my own talk page. Though I'm sure you'll correct me if I'm "wrong" EastTNPoliceStories (talk) 15:00, 11 September 2020 (UTC)Reply
