@Oferrta204: Thank you Oferrta204 for the welcome note. There are many things I don't yet understand about how Wikipedia works. My first question, however, regards my first article - a biography of a living person. After posting the article "T. Mark Harrison", I received the following feedback:

  • This article relies too much on references to primary sources. (November 2020)
  • This biography of a living person needs additional citations for verification. (November 2020)

These requirements seem to me to be contradictory. How can something rely too much on references to primary sources and yet still need additional citations for verification? Can you please clarify and suggest a remedy? Thanks so much. East84street (talk) 18:15, 11 November 2020 (UTC)Reply

Hi East84street! The thread you created at the Wikipedia:Teahouse, help needed to understand criticism that "this article has multiple issues....", has been archived because there was no discussion for a few days (usually at least two days, and sometimes four or more). You can still find the archived discussion here. If you have any additional questions that weren't answered then, please feel free to create a new thread.
