DYK for Misumena vatia edit

On 3 December 2020, Did you know was updated with a fact from the article Misumena vatia, which you recently created, substantially expanded, or brought to good article status. The fact was ... that the goldenrod crab spider can change colors between white and yellow depending on the color of the flowers on which it lives? The nomination discussion and review may be seen at Template:Did you know nominations/Misumena vatia. You are welcome to check how many page hits the article got while on the front page (here's how, Misumena vatia), and it may be added to the statistics page if the total is over 5,000. Finally, if you know of an interesting fact from another recently created article, then please feel free to suggest it on the Did you know talk page.

Misumena vatia edit

Hi Emma: Wow, am I impressed with the work you've done on Misumena vatia! I did a copyediting pass today, and have found only a trio of small things which need sorting before I give it its GA star. MeegsC (talk) 10:54, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

If you decide to take this one to FA, I'd suggest getting a bit more info about the European populations before you do so. (In the lede, for instance, you mention its main plants in NA, but not Europe. And you'd need to add alt text (for screen readers) to each picture. You might think about expanding the captions too, to explain something pertinent in each one -- i.e. takes prey larger than itself, nests in rolled up leaves (there's a great pic of that on Commons), etc. -- rather than just "Spider with prey". But this is a wonderfully comprehensive article. Nice job! MeegsC (talk) 21:49, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply
Ok, I will look into those changes for FA! Thanks again for your helpful comments throughout this review. It has been so great working with you! Eanisman (talk) 22:14, 8 April 2021 (UTC)Reply

Your GA nomination of Misumena vatia edit

The article Misumena vatia you nominated as a good article has passed  ; see Talk:Misumena vatia for comments about the article. Well done! If the article has not already appeared on the main page as a "Did you know" item, or as a bold link under "In the News" or in the "On This Day" prose section, you can nominate it within the next seven days to appear in DYK. Bolded names with dates listed at the bottom of the "On This Day" column do not affect DYK eligibility.
