Orlyonok

THank you for the great expansion of the article Orlyonok. However you have to supply the added text with footnotes which provide references to the sources of informaation you added. This is a fundamental wikipedia policy (see WP:CITE). Unreferenced text may be challenged and deleted at any time. - Altenmann >t 03:28, 18 June 2012 (UTC)

Colleague, please put your reply you e-mailed me into the Talk:Orlyonok. Generally, nearly all communication in wikipedia is carried out via talk pages. Article talk pages (such as Talk:Orlyonok) are for discussion of article content. User talk pages are generally for comments related to user's activity and/or which may require immediate attention. E-mail is used mostly for sensitive exchanges you would not want to broadcast. (For the latter reason I did not copy your e-mail to the talk page myself. Roger that. New references added 06/21/2012 for historical tidbits. Still looking for a good complete reference about the Orlyonok Culture. Various requests have been sent, though, responses take some long while to arrive. Today got official approval to use online photos and Orlyonok logo from their site, so more updates are pending. Russian version of the article seem to be in need of "toning down" before I can synch it with this page, so some rewriting is also due. Cannot figure out how to link to the photos on the russian page, so will have to upload these myself - EagletSam - 14:26, 21 June 2012 (EDT)

Thanks for uploading File:Orlyonok Statue.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that the media is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media is not replaceable, please:

1. Go to the media description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
2. On the image discussion page, write the reason why this image is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by taking a picture of it yourself.

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these images fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Thank you for double-checking all the permissions and pointing out the mistake I made while uploading the picture. It has been corrected now; following the recommended course of action outlined in the infobox, I resized the picture to be smaller and uploaded it using the correct permissions/settings. As stated in the comments, once free/unlicensed variant of the same will be found, it will be promptly replaced.

Please keep in mind that this is volunteer project that can be allocated only this much time. Also, please forgive my limited knowledge of both Wiki and all convoluted intricacies of international copyrights and useage. If mistakes are made, I am eager to learn what has been done incorrectly and how to fix it. Insofar I believe I have done my best following all the guidelines and observing all the proper permissions. If this is not true, looking forward to the discussion.
