It might not be cool, and it is great that you want to contribute to wikipedia, but regardless of what happens on some (but certainly not all as I can assure you that there have been numerous instances of results and details not being added before the final whistle in football competitions) other sports related articles, wikipedia is not a news site to report matches as they progress and the messages are there for good reason. I didn't revert your edit though, that was done by anoter user. I though though it would be best to explain though. Just a point about the italics though, whislt you understand why you are doing it, the general wikipedia reader will have no idea what that means and that is who we need to ensure our edits are aimed at rather than regular users. Thanks for your message (and there is no need to start a new header for each message, just add your message below yout last message like this). This (about "editing live sports events") arose back in 2007 when it was pointed out on one of the Admin boards that wikipedia is not a news blog/live journal, and that it is not a competition to get results and details of matches on wikipedia. As I said above, I didn't revert your "live match" edit, I simply thought it best to explain it to you.♦Tangerines♦·Talk 00:37, 19 June 2008 (UTC)

I doubt poopface would ever score a goal in any football match, to be honest but you never know. You are though venting your ire at the wrong person, and all because I chose to explain something to you rather than leave you with your edit undone by another user. I will say it again though, I didn't revert your edit, I merely explained why it was revereted by another user. In addition I'm just another user like you.
