Welcome!

Welcome to Wikipedia, Dymaxion! My name is Ryan, aka Acetic Acid. I noticed that you were new and haven't received any messages yet. I just wanted to see how you were doing. Wikipedia can be a little intimidating at first, since it uses different formatting than other sites that use HTML and CSS. In the long run, though, you'll find that the WikiSyntax is a lot easier and faster than those other ways. Here are a few links to get you started:

There are a lot of policies and guides to read, but I highly recommend reading over those first. If you have any questions, feel free to leave me a message on my talk page. Please be sure to sign your name on Talk Pages using four tildes (~~~~) to produce your name and the current date, along with a link to your user page. This way, others know when you left a message and how to find you. It's easier than having to type out your name, right? :)

I hope you enjoy contributing to Wikipedia. We can use all the help we can get! Have a nice day. Sincerely, Acetic'Acid 21:27, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

You're welcome. Thanks for the message. :) I had a lot of time to welcome new users and edit articles during the summer, but now that school has started, I'm really busy and won't be on as much anymore. Still, if you need any help, you can leave me a message, and I'll get back to you within 48 hours. Take care. Acetic'Acid 22:51, September 5, 2005 (UTC)

Hi Dymaxion edit

I'm glad you weren't offended by my pruning of that article and pleased to see you've been back to add to it. Sorry if I messed up the edit you were making. What happened was that I saw the title on Special:Newpages and thought I would investigate. Something you can do in future if you want to save your work as you go along but avoid having someone else edit it before you finish your first draft is to create a user subpage for your first draft. For example, User:Mattley/Black Friday was one I used recently. I wrote the whole article there, then pasted it to the proper locationBlack Friday (1921) when it was ready. Anyway, it looks like you are catching on quickly. All the best, Mattley 21:52, 5 September 2005 (UTC)Reply

Wikipedia needs you edit

Hi, Dymaxion. You have helped with a number of articles in the past, but you haven't edited any articles in a while. Could you make some new contributions soon to help make Wikipedia better?

I hope you decide to become a more active contributor again. Feel free to drop me a line on my talk page. -- ForteTuba 03:09, 25 February 2006 (UTC)Reply
