Theroadislong, FWIW, I just advised at the teahouse that they make a draft out of it: Wikipedia:Teahouse#Advice_around_a_'band'_page_appreciated..... Even as an article it has problems, see notability, promotion, conflict of interest and Paid editing. You should not be creating content in which you have a financial interest. Ping Gråbergs Gråa Sång, Theroadislong Jimfbleak - talk to me? 15:54, 14 February 2018 (UTC)

Obviously it had problems, that´s why I suggested draft. It may be within shouting distance of WP:GNG though: [1][2][3][4]. Then again, it may not. Gråbergs Gråa Sång (talk) 16:02, 14 February 2018 (UTC)

I think you got the tone about right, it's not glaringly promotional or anything, well done. Next step: Help:Referencing for beginners. I want to be clear that the sources may be considered to weak for this article to "stick", per WP:GNG and/or WP:BAND. I'm not familiar with the publications and can't say. I have a question for clarity. Your post at the Teahouse is not 100% clear that you are one of the members in this band (at least I think I can read it that way). Is it correct that you are? This is a sensitive question on WP, so I'll borrow the words of the well-phrased editor Xover:

"Please also note that you are not required to reveal your identity to edit Wikipedia (in fact, attempts at "outing" another editors real life identity are forbidden by policy!); only any relevant conflicts of interest are required to be disclosed (but, of course, in cases such as this, the disclosed conflict will often in itself reveal the identity, so the distinction may be academic)."

Hi Grabergs thanks for the reply I think this is the crux isn’t it and I can see why disclosure of any interest is essential – and anonymity too. I can’t help thinking anyone authoring an article on any entity with an artistic or commercial endeavour has some sort of interest, be they a fan, the artist themselves, their publisher/manager etc. I suppose – to answer your question with a question – I would ask if the article fulfils Wiki’s purpose of presenting factual, objective, educational information - and within the article there is no trace of unwanted interest - is it important who wrote it?
