May 2016 edit

Hello, I'm McGeddon. I wanted to let you know that one or more external links you added to the page Mafia (party game) have been removed because they seemed to be inappropriate for an encyclopedia. If you think I made a mistake, or if you have any questions, you can leave me a message on my talk page, or take a look at our guidelines about links. Thank you. McGeddon (talk) 10:45, 10 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

"See also" sections are for links to other Wikipedia articles, not to external websites. "External links" sections are for links to sites which are directly about the article subject, not related games. Whether you're a fan of the game or have a direct connection to it, Wikipedia is not the place to promote a website. --McGeddon (talk) 16:57, 12 May 2016 (UTC):Reply
Ah, I could have sworn that was an external link, as well. I saw external links in See also, but perhaps that was a pending edit. I'll change it to the internal wiki. Thanks. As for being directly related - if you saw the article, it's a very specific party game - so is this page - so is Town of Salem - and so are all the other See also's on that page. They are all games, but directly related games to that game page (this genre is very, very rare, so it's important the few games that are on there are displayed - since 1986 there's only been about 6 official ones, leaving only 2 being digital in all of it's existence). I'm connected to all of these games, except, perhaps, 1 or 2. I'm a big fan and have played most all of them. Anyway, I'll point it to a wiki page and will fill details later, if nothing yet (I searched for it earlier and there was no wiki page, hence the external link, although I posted it incorrectly - again, sorry. I read the guidelines.. there's just quite a lot *smile*)Dylanh724 (talk) 02:48, 13 May 2016 (UTC)Reply

Speedy deletion nomination of File:Throne-of-lies-box.jpg edit

A tag has been placed on File:Throne-of-lies-box.jpg requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section F9 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the file appears to be a blatant copyright infringement. For legal reasons, we cannot accept copyrighted content borrowed from other web sites or printed material, and as a consequence, your addition will most likely be deleted. Wikipedia takes copyright violations very seriously and persistent violators will be blocked from editing.

If you think this page should not be deleted for this reason, you may contest the nomination by visiting the page and clicking the button labelled "Contest this speedy deletion". This will give you the opportunity to explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. However, be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag from the page yourself, but do not hesitate to add information in line with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines.
