Re: US West

edit

Because people searching for "US West" could be searching for information regarding the western United States. Also, the name of the company refers to the US West, so it is subordinate. --tomf688{talk} 15:18, 20 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Web page vs. web page

edit

I don't get it, in How to spell UNIX? you say you are a pedant. So then why would you revert my correction of "web page" to "Web page", since "Web" is referring to the World Wide Web, not a generic web? [1] Well you got the Unix thing right. --DylanW 08:40, 23 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Since the beginning, "web" has existed with a generic, non-proper lower case "w" - indeed overshadowing any capitalized "Web"s - http://www.w3.org/History/19921103-hypertext/hypertext/WWW/News/. It'd probably be nice to use "Web page" the first time it's mentioned, but using it throughout is goofy-looking at present and would have been in the past, too. ¦ Reisio 11:50, 23 January 2006 (UTC)Reply

Page Moves

edit

You can move pages, you know - that is, rename them. Your redirect could simply be moved to Wireless Carrier if you accidently put an S on there. All you have to do is click on "move" next to the history tab. Hope I helped. -Jetman123 08:51, 26 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

Wait, nevermind, sorry. I didn't realize Wireless Carrier was already created and you simply created the redirect by mistake. My mistake this time. :p -Jetman123 08:52, 26 February 2006 (UTC)Reply

I wasn't trying to experiment -- I was just trying to add a single comma, but my ISP's compression software duplicated the page. DylanW (talk) 21:42, 1 November 2008 (UTC)Reply

Hi. Thank you for your recent edits. Wikipedia appreciates your help. We noticed though that when you edited Spectrum analyzer, you added a link pointing to the disambiguation page Vice versa (check to confirm | fix with Dab solver). Such links are almost always unintended, since a disambiguation page is merely a list of "Did you mean..." article titles. Read the FAQ • Join us at the DPL WikiProject.
