Hi Debby, I see your message. -K

accuracy in page title edit

can you please change your course page title for accuracy please ? from Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Carleton College/Immunology (Winter) to Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Carleton College/Immunology 2016 (Winter)

i find it confusing to run across students from your course and not see right away on their talkpages what course they were in, 2016 or 2017. you shouldnt expect people to have to dig in their contrib histories. maybe have User:Ian (Wiki Ed) help you ?--Wuerzele (talk) 09:08, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply

Wuerzele: Unfortunately, since the students have already started using the course page, we can't change the title. Doing so would break all the links that the students have and cause a lot of confusion. --Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 16:21, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Sage (Wiki Ed) you appear to have misunderstood. i didnt ask to change the title for Wikipedia:Wiki Ed/Carleton College/Immunology 2017 (Winter) , okay?--Wuerzele (talk) 16:57, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Wuerzele:Ah, I see. It's still the case that changing the title would break any links pointing the the old URL. One option would be to create a redirect and then manually change the templates on the user pages to point to the redirect.--Sage (Wiki Ed) (talk) 19:28, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
Nuts, Sage (Wiki Ed). And all that because of a little inaccuracy, a stitch in time....--Wuerzele (talk) 20:07, 16 February 2017 (UTC)Reply
