Speedy deletion nomination of Marc Lacasse edit

If this is the first article that you have created, you may want to read the guide to writing your first article.

You may want to consider using the Article Wizard to help you create articles.

A tag has been placed on Marc Lacasse requesting that it be speedily deleted from Wikipedia. This has been done under section A7 of the criteria for speedy deletion, because the article appears to be about a person or group of people, but it does not indicate how or why the subject is important or significant: that is, why an article about that subject should be included in an encyclopedia. Under the criteria for speedy deletion, such articles may be deleted at any time. Please see the guidelines for what is generally accepted as notable.

If you think that the page was nominated in error, contest the nomination by clicking on the button labelled "Click here to contest this speedy deletion" in the speedy deletion tag. Doing so will take you to the talk page where you can explain why you believe the page should not be deleted. You can also visit the page's talk page directly to give your reasons, but be aware that once a page is tagged for speedy deletion, it may be removed without delay. Please do not remove the speedy deletion tag yourself, but do not hesitate to add information that is consistent with Wikipedia's policies and guidelines. If the page is deleted, you can contact one of these administrators to request that the administrator userfy the page or email a copy to you. WWGB (talk) 11:19, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Do not remove speedy deletion tags from pages you have written. WWGB (talk) 11:51, 8 July 2012 (UTC)Reply

Replaceable fair use File:Paul Holmes.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading File:Paul Holmes.jpg. I noticed the description page specifies that this media item is being used under a claim of fair use, but its use in Wikipedia articles fails the first non-free content criterion in that it illustrates a subject for which a freely licensed media item could be found or created that provides substantially the same information or which could be adequately covered with text alone. If you believe this media item is not replaceable, please:

  1. Go to the file description page and edit it to add {{di-replaceable fair use disputed}}, without deleting the original replaceable fair use template.
  2. On the file discussion page, write the reason why this media item is not replaceable at all.

Alternatively, you can also choose to replace this non-free media item by finding freely licensed media of the same subject, requesting that the copyright holder release this (or similar) media under a free license, or by creating new media yourself (for example, by taking your own photograph of the subject).

If you have uploaded other non-free media, consider checking that you have specified how these media fully satisfy our non-free content criteria. You can find a list of description pages you have edited by clicking on this link. Note that even if you follow steps 1 and 2 above, non-free media which could be replaced by freely licensed alternatives will be deleted 2 days after this notification (7 days if uploaded before 13 July 2006), per the non-free content policy. If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. Fut.Perf. 17:48, 4 November 2012 (UTC)Reply

? edit

Not sure to what you're referring in calling me a Jewish propagandist, but you might review our policy on personal attacks; try to focus on the content, and not on editors. -- Khazar2 (talk) 21:55, 25 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

I agree and have reverted the edit. Uncalled for. Marcus Qwertyus (talk) 22:03, 25 December 2012 (UTC)Reply
Incidentally, I notice you've also been categorizing some articles as Jews of various nationalities, which seems connected with your tagging your own page as a Nazi politician and accusing me of being a Zionist conspiracy. I don't know whether these people are Jewish or not, but please add reliable sources to articles when adding information on ethnicity and/or religion. -- Khazar2 (talk) 22:07, 25 December 2012 (UTC)Reply

February 2013 edit

You have been blocked indefinitely from editing because your account is being used mainly for trolling, disruption or harassment. If you think there are good reasons why you should be unblocked, you may appeal this block by adding below this notice the text {{unblock|reason=Your reason here ~~~~}}, but you should read the guide to appealing blocks first.  Yunshui  10:12, 22 February 2013 (UTC)Reply

February 2018 - Ban appeal edit

This user's unblock request has been reviewed by an administrator, who accepted the request.

Request reason:

It has been many years since I was banned from Wikipedia and I have changed a lot as a person, I forgot I had even been banned. I have since completed studies in history and I have often wanted to make contributions to Wikipedia as of late but have found I was unable to. I would like to be unbanned if that is possible, I am a different person than I was and I understand if there was any repeats of my behaviour from almost a decade ago I would be banned again very quickly. Dutch32 (talk) 09:45, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

Accept reason:

Unblocking for another chance. Welcome. If you have any questions, you may ask at the Teahouse or Help Desk. 331dot (talk) 09:38, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

I normally believe in second chances for users who were blocked a long time ago, but many of your edits are concerning to me given their subject matter. What do you intend to edit about if unblocked? In addition, Wikipedia is a collaborative environment where all users must be treated civilly and with respect; comments like this are not helpful. Please elaborate on how you will interact with other users. Thank you. 331dot (talk) 11:29, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

At the very least, that edit needs to be specifically addressed in detail. Would you care to explain specifically why that is inappropriate? Would you care to retract that statement? Have any of your changes been around that sort of sentiment? I want to be clear, I think you are plausibly a candidate for unblocking, but statements like that seriously concern me. --Yamla (talk) 14:35, 28 February 2019 (UTC)Reply

I don't remember why I made these statements, like I said it was almost a decade ago and I was a completely different person, but if it's any consolation, I am very very sorry and yes of course I retract those statements wholeheartedly. Dutch32 (talk) 07:53, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

@Yunshui: Given the time that has passed and the retraction above, I would support unblocking this account if they answer 331dot's questions to 331dot's satisfaction (which they haven't done yet). If they cause trouble, we can easily reblock. It has been more than 6 years since the block and it's likely they are substantially more mature now. As blocking admin, what do you think? --Yamla (talk) 13:07, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
As the parent of a six-year-old, I can attest that people can change a great deal in six years. I have no objection to giving Dutch32 another chance. Yunshui  13:12, 1 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

So can I be unblocked? What's the verdict. Thanks for considering my case guys. Dutch32 (talk) 09:20, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Please respond to my questions above. 331dot (talk) 09:24, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Oh sorry I thought I already had answered sufficiently. Like I said I don't remember why I had made those comments, it was almost a decade ago and I was a different person, immature. I've changed a lot and I would mostly just be editing things that matter to me like New Zealand history and just minor annoyances like typos I often encounter but cannot fix since I have been banned for so long. Dutch32 (talk) 09:28, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Okay, if you could just respond to "please elaborate on how you will interact with other users". Thanks 331dot (talk) 09:30, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply

Well I'm not sure what you mean, I of course would be respectful and amicable with anyone I interacted with, I'm not a belligerent or rude person. Is that what you meant? Dutch32 (talk) 09:32, 4 March 2019 (UTC)Reply
