License tagging for Image:Australian air force 707-368C (code A20-261) Perth Internatinal Airport Australia.jpg edit

Thanks for uploading Image:Australian air force 707-368C (code A20-261) Perth Internatinal Airport Australia.jpg. Wikipedia gets thousands of images uploaded every day, and in order to verify that the images can be legally used on Wikipedia, the source and copyright status must be indicated. Images need to have an image tag applied to the image description page indicating the copyright status of the image. This uniform and easy-to-understand method of indicating the license status allows potential re-users of the images to know what they are allowed to do with the images.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by OrphanBot. If you need help on selecting a tag to use, or in adding the tag to the image description, feel free to post a message at Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. 13:06, 17 May 2007 (UTC)

Syndactyly edit

Hi, this is TheResearchPersona; I noticed you posted a picture[[1]] and I'm wondering if you would be willing, if able, to post post-treatment pictures into the Public Domain for the article Syndactyly for its treatment section. If not that's fine, but if so it would probably be encouraging to someone out there, perhaps worried parents. : ) Forgive, by the way, my "not" signing: when I use the four tildes (which I will) Wikipedia always gives "tooMuchData" instead of signing, and then the system only later makes an auto-edit to say I signed it: something strange I wish they'd fix; please let it auto-sign, though: if you decide to add by user name for this, it'll probably autosign your fix for you! I'll add my name at the end, but it'll still say the "tooMuch..." part, and then time. Sigh. Thanks for your Time! TheResearchPersona

Image without license edit

Unspecified source/license for Image:4 year old boy after surgery to rectify complete complex syndactyly of two fingers right hand.JPG edit

Thanks for uploading Image:4 year old boy after surgery to rectify complete complex syndactyly of two fingers right hand.JPG. The image has been identified as not specifying the copyright status of the image, which is required by Wikipedia's policy on images. Even if you created the image yourself, you still need to release it so Wikipedia can use it. If you don't indicate the copyright status of the image on the image's description page, using an appropriate copyright tag, it may be deleted some time in the next seven days. If you made this image yourself, you can use copyright tags like {{PD-self}} (to release all rights), {{self|CC-by-sa-3.0|GFDL}} (to require that you be credited), or any tag here - just go to the image, click edit, and add one of those. If you have uploaded other images, please verify that you have provided copyright information for them as well.

For more information on using images, see the following pages:

This is an automated notice by MifterBot. For assistance on the image use policy, see Wikipedia:Media copyright questions. NOTE: once you correct this, please remove the tag from the image's page. --MifterBot (TalkContribsOwner) 21:19, 26 October 2008 (UTC)Reply

File source problem with File:Crinum pedunculatum (Pink, Swamp Lily) Perth, WA, Tough & waterwisw..JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thanks for uploading File:Crinum pedunculatum (Pink, Swamp Lily) Perth, WA, Tough & waterwisw..JPG. I noticed that the file's description page currently doesn't specify who created the content, so the copyright status is unclear. If you did not create this file yourself, you will need to specify the owner of the copyright. If you obtained it from a website, then a link to the website from which it was taken, together with a restatement of that website's terms of use of its content, is usually sufficient information. However, if the copyright holder is different from the website's publisher, their copyright should also be acknowledged.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their source and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link. Unsourced and untagged images may be deleted one week after they have been tagged, as described on criteria for speedy deletion. If the image is copyrighted under a non-free license (per Wikipedia:Fair use) then the image will be deleted 48 hours after 02:15, 11 July 2009 (UTC). If you have any questions please ask them at the Media copyright questions page. Thank you. NW (Talk) 02:15, 11 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

File copyright problem with File:Crinum_pedunculatum_(Pink,_Swamp_Lily)_Perth,_WA,_Tough_&_waterwisw..JPG edit

File Copyright problem

Thank you for uploading File:Crinum_pedunculatum_(Pink,_Swamp_Lily)_Perth,_WA,_Tough_&_waterwisw..JPG. However, it currently is missing information on its copyright status. Wikipedia takes copyright very seriously. It may be deleted soon, unless we can determine the license and the source of the file. If you know this information, then you can add a copyright tag to the image description page.

If you have uploaded other files, consider checking that you have specified their license and tagged them, too. You can find a list of files you have uploaded by following this link.

If you have any questions, please feel free to ask them at the media copyright questions page. Thanks again for your cooperation. Chris G Bot (talk) 00:10, 18 July 2009 (UTC)Reply

Notification: changes to "Mark my edits as minor by default" preference edit

Hello there. This is an automated message to tell you about the gradual phasing out of the preference entitled "Mark all edits minor by default", which you currently have enabled.

On 13 March 2011, this preference was hidden from the user preferences screen as part of efforts to prevent its accidental misuse (consensus discussion). This had the effect of locking users in to their existing preference, which, in your case, was true. To complete the process, your preference will automatically be changed to false in the next few days. This does not require any intervention on your part and you will still be able to manually mark your edits as being 'minor'. The only thing that's changed is that you will no longer be able to have them marked as minor by default. For more information on what a minor edit is, see WP:MINOR or feel to get in touch.

Thank you for your understanding and happy editing :) Editing on behalf of User:Jarry1250, LivingBot (talk) 20:54, 13 March 2011 (UTC)Reply
