Delta Sigma Theta edit

Welcome to Wikipedia!

Please look at the discussion at Template talk:Infobox Fraternity and add comments there before you change the entry for type for Delta Sigma Theta again. This has been discussed in the past and by both Title IX and by the primary reference work for Fraternities and Sororities in the United States, Baird's Manual of American College Fraternities, Delta Sigma Theta is a Social Sorority. If Delta Sigma Theta was a Service Sorority, then by Title IX, it would be required to accept men as members like Gamma Sigma Sigma Service Sorority does (GSS tends not to have them at most HBCUs, but it can not descriminate by gender). Delta Sigma Theta *does* have a strong emphasis on service, I'm well aware of that and I'm very glad about that. This issue also comes up with the other members of the NPHC. I'm glad that as a sister of DST that you want to help improve your Sorority's article. You can reply to these comments, here, my talk page or at Template talk:Infobox Fraternity, I have them all on my watchlist.Naraht (talk) 11:54, 8 May 2009 (UTC)Reply
