As I have gotten some uncomplimentary remarks about my solution to squaring the circle- Know this All four unsolved drafting puzzles have single line solutions and for you mathematicians- Pi is not require in any of the solutions. It's time to put an end to the 2500 year old myth that these puzzles are insolvable.Drypuglia (talk) 16:10, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

Drypuglia (talk) 19:50, 29 December 2016 (UTC) Some five years ago I submitted my solution to the problem of Trisecting an angle to Jim Loy of Wikipedia. In his email he stated that he had never seen my approach before and his initial try gave exact results. The solution is a trigonometric function shaped curve and not a Magic circle. This curve is readily plotted using the required tools. For each sectioning, i.e.3,5,7-a different curve results. It took me less than 15 minutes to find this solution. But as a never to be retired Consulting Analytical Engineer I couldn't stop here. It was then I found that all of the other problems had single line solutions (even though the Math professors, residing in their land of confusion and negativity, prove mathematically that a solution is not possible). But since they require known angular lines, they had to be positioned using the sectioning procedure. I have written a thesis which presents all of the solutions. But negativity reigns- as I sent an email with an abstract of my 30 page thesis and attached the four drawn solution to the editor of MAA. In In less then two minutes I received this reply. "These problems are unsolvable because they are insolvable". My thesis, complete with step by step, exact graphic and mathematical solutions (used to complement not verify) the plotted results- can be found on an engineering blog site fmt-equipment.com or one can email me at ( ddamato172@aol.com ) for a copy of my thesis or discussion on my solutions. Tell me why doesn't my solution belong on the comment page?Drypuglia (talk) 22:33, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Drypuglia(talk)18:37, 6 April 2016Drypuglia (talk) 22:33, 6 April 2016 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 15:52, 29 October 2022 (UTC) Drypuglia (talk) 19:50, 29 December 2016 (UTC)DrypugliaReply

Wikipedia is not a journal; you do not "submit solutions" to Wikipedia. Talk pages are not "comment pages"; they are for discussion of improvements of the article, not for commenting on the subject of the article. Material to be included in a wikipedia page must meet Wikipedia's standards for inclusion, among them, verifiability (being published and available in a reliable source, as defined by Wikipedia standards). In addition Wikipedia does not publish original research. Whatever it is you are proposing, whether accurate or not, is original research, and as such Wikipedia is not the appropriate place for its publication. I have deleted your comments from the talk page at Talk:Squaring the circle, because they do not belong there for the abovementioned reasons. Magidin (talk) 16:00, 16 March 2017 (UTC)Reply

Hi Petrus3743-

Suggest you read "Trisecting Angles and Other Solutions" by Dominic A. D'Amato (Amazon) -which also shows how to draw a line equal to Pi. Regards , DrypugliaDrypuglia (talk) 16:26, 22 July 2022 (UTC)Reply

Hi Drypuglia,
more than five years have now passed. Even with „Trisecting Angles”, „Squaring the circle”, „Doubling the cube” and „Nonagon” the approximate solutions are getting better and better! With regards--Petrus3743 (talk) 08:55, 13 June 2022 (UTC)Reply
Hi Petruss3743,

Glad to hear from you. I'm surprised that you're still looking to finite element analysis for a solution to trisection. It's amazing that you have not accepted my solution, as you were the first to note that Jim Loy's trial run found it to be exact. I'm assuming that you have not read my book- which is more explanatory. I have gone well beyond proving that my trisection solution process is exactly correct because without it one can not construct the angular solution for each of the problems you cited above. whether or not you read my book i think it will go well for Wikipedia and for the both of us if you review and edit your paper! The book goes beyond the solutions noted above with a informative discussion on Pi. if you woul like a copy of the book send me an address. eMail ddamato172@aol.com regards,Drypuglia Drypuglia (talk) 16:21, 22 July 2022 (UTC) — Preceding unsigned comment added by 32.208.185.6 (talk) 17:59, 17 June 2022 (UTC)Reply

Firstly,my reliable source is Wikipedia. It presents six problems along with many attempts and analysis of these problems-justifying its conclusion that these problems are all insolvable. I see that as an invitation. Secondly, a presentation on YouTube,Petruss3743's article, and the book cited above! Lastly,Your last statment implies that one's solution to a problem must be approved by another source. I think the comment page-because of their interest in the subject matter-would be better suited for that task!Drypuglia (talk) 01:36, 30 January 2023 (UTC) Drypuglia (talk) Drypuglia Drypuglia (talk) 19:52, 23 May 2022 (UTC)Reply

HI SG
Thank you for your help in the past. If you read the following paragraphs you might agree that I have somewhat of a problem convincing Wikipedia crank hunters that I have solved all of the 2000 year old Greek problems, as noted in the above paragraphs. None of my responses to their rejection of my editions of Wikipedia articles were noted. Rather than further discussions of the solutions, I prefer that someone at Wikipedia read my book- which presents exact solutions to all of the problems. Let me send you a copy and/or if you agree- someone also who has technical knowledge. Send mail address to my eMail address: ddamato172@aol.com. In the mean time, see "File:Trisection cover.png" and the following table of of contents.

Proposed deletion of Angular Solutions to Unsolved Problems ==

The article Angular Solutions to Unsolved Problems has been proposed for deletion because of the following concern:

Mathematical crankery (see Trisecting an angle—the process described here is known to be impossible)

While all constructive contributions to Wikipedia are appreciated, pages may be deleted for any of several reasons.

You may prevent the proposed deletion by removing the {{proposed deletion/dated}} notice, but please explain why in your edit summary or on the article's talk page.

Please consider improving the page to address the issues raised. Removing {{proposed deletion/dated}} will stop the proposed deletion process, but other deletion processes exist. In particular, the speedy deletion process can result in deletion without discussion, and articles for deletion allows discussion to reach consensus for deletion. Let me begin by pointing out that all six unsolved 2,500 year old puzzles in Wikipedia had a Single angular line solution. Tr-secting and 5-sectinng curves with known angles provide the solutions for the nine sided nonogon, squaring the circle and doubling the cube. With some brief mathematical expressions these solution are Exact! I am willing to email or send a copy of my book. To expand: Your claim that angle trisection is possible with a straightedge and compass is never going to make it into Wikipedia. Sorry. That's not some domineering of some ignorant mathematicians, but rather the way mathematics has worked for centuries. For your own sake, please move on; there are more important and enjoyable things to do outside Wikipedia. Ovinus (talk) 20:31, 2 October 2022 (UTC)Reply

==Firstly,my Trisecting and five-secting solutions do not require the use of mathematics at all! You would know this if you had taken the time to read my talk pages- especially above- my thesis, and my book referenced above. All graduate level. Personally, I have found mathematicians sadly lacking in the field of mechanics. Secondly- David Eppstein appeared to find my editing (lacking my drawings) and filed it with the same title. Now you plan to remove it. is David aware of this? Lastly-I find your actions and especially your personal advice disturbing and not at all consistent with Wikipedia's reputation. I ask that you hold off and let me finish my editing with line drawings from my book. you might find it more interestng than the folding paper solution presented.Drypuglia (talk) 15:52, 29 October 2022 (UTC) Drypuglia (talk) 16:02, 3 October 2022 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 01:08, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Reply

Sorry I missed the forum Liz, but I am anxious to talk to you or anyone who help me with my disruption problem. I'm anxious to know what happened to my recent note to you explaining why I changed the title of my my paper. Was it just dropped because the the title of the page was already removed and you didn't get to read it? I have been an analytical engineer for a lifeline well over 60 years, and have been in contact with Wikipedia about my solutions for six years. The solution to the problems are simple- but the drafting procedures are somewhat tedious. The drawn solutions and there are many, are in the book I published two years ago and must be seen to understand the solutions. I have made my case many times but unfortunately I was never able to submit actual drawings to Wikipedia. My book was written for graduate students- originally -so it would be helpful to have contact with someone familiar with drafting and mathematical procedures.Drypuglia (talk) 01:50, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 16:10, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 15:52, 29 October 2022 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 15:33, 26 October 2022 (UTC)DrypugliaReply

I have been in contact with Wiki on the editing issues since 2012 Some of my editing have been moved to a different location. I have a presentation on YouTube talking about the solution to tri- secting an angle and squaring the circle years ago-Two years ago I published a book on these solutionsand added the 9 sided graph and doubling the cube. And in addition included a treaties on Pi- calculating it to 16 places with a simple equation.Yet the crank hunters still say NO! and never respond to my reply or investigated my solutions!! I'm just disappointed that Wikipedia carries on the myth that there are no solutions. Just go ahead and do whatever you think you have to do in spite of the fact that Wiki Is begging for bold commentsDrypuglia (talk) 01:50, 30 January 2023 (UTC)Drypuglia (talk) 21:31, 17 November 2022 (UTC)Reply
