{{adminhelp}}

My perfectly legit article was deleted. What can I do? --Druthers (talk) 15:04, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Is this regarding the article called Nobelkarossentod ?  Chzz  ►  15:06, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
yes. --Druthers (talk) 15:11, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
OK - I've changed the request above to an {{adminhelp}}, because non-admins cannot see deleted articles, thus I'm unable to assess whether this was a valid speedy deletion or not.  Chzz  ►  15:21, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Thank you. --Druthers (talk) 15:23, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
Could you tell me the user name how initiated the speedy deletion? --Druthers (talk) 15:47, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
User:Lectonar deleted this noting that, amongst other things, it is a copy of the German article which is currently up for deletion. Rambo's Revenge (talk) 16:05, 12 October 2009 (UTC)Reply

Nobelkarossentod edit

Good day to you,

concerning your request on my talk-page: I will not restore the article for the time being,. Besides the grounds mentioned during the deletion, there are some more things to take into account:

- the term is not as widespread as you seem to think; even in Germany, it is somewhat restricted to Berlin and Hamburg, and even there is only used in certain "environment", so more or less, if even so, of only local importance.

- the term being mentioned sometimes in published newspapers does not make it notable by itself; as it stands, it is more or less a dicdef; I for one fail to see the notability.

- the term in itself is POV, as it is used in a rather condescending way by certain groups.

- the "Löschantrag" in de-wiki is rather undecided at the moment, and yes, it is relevant for en-wiki if something is deleted on another wiki.

- an admin on en-wiki can speedy delete on sight.

If you want to contest the deletion, you may do so at deletion review.

Zum Schluss: ich weiss nicht, ob es aufgefallen ist, aber ich bin der Deutschen Sprache mächtig, habe somit recherchiert. Lectonar (talk) 16:16, 14 October 2009 (UTC)Reply
